ok yeah... apparently my comp has missing screws... probably from the guy that i let fix it :\ thats why it came out so easily without a hassle... just took my bros comp apart and found that out cause he had a dead power supply. man... these power supplies are horrible lol
@edwardnese I just did it. First you need to remove the Pocket Media Drive Bay. To do this, remove one silver screw at the side of the optical drive. Then lift the black lever behind the PMDB and slide it backwards. Doing so will reveal a black screw so you can take out the optical drive. Hope it works for someone!
@aarieraz Yea u need to remove the Pocket Media Drive Bay First.. I dont like that u have to remove all dat jus to get the power supply out.. The fan in mine aint workin...
i hate that people who try to help, but in fake way. First to remove the Optical drive you need to remove the hp pocket hard disk slot! There is one screw to remove. If you want to help or teach please do it right!
there defiantly seems to be something holding the drive on the left side on my model. It just wont budge on that side. I can't get a good look at what is causing it. Any ideas what that could be?
I need to get to the hard rive and check the connections. getting a disk read error that hasn't been solved by less drastic means.
@0Soule0 Ah i got it.. There was a tiny screw behind the portable drive port. (which come off if you hold it firmly and push backwards.) must be different from the model in your vid.
@Kingwalker22 :\ i know for a fat that theres nothing holding it in place on the other side but you could try to put a bit of pressure on it and kinda force it out kinda but make sure you disconnect the power and sata cable~ also when you push the latch back you should feel it come out of the slot on the odd
optical drive is hard to take out. F U HP!
