@sslim29205 Uh, 2000 years ago you did need ships to get from Egypt to Israel because nobody wanted to travel through the Negev and Sinai deserts. The quickest way from Israel to Egypt was by the Roman merchant marine. In fact it is documented in ROman historical documents the conquest of the Jewish Kingdom, including the trading of Jewish slaves in such great numbers that they flooded the Roman markets in Gaza and Alexandria. Records go into detail about thousands of slaves on boats.

@exoduseternal28 You have no idea about what happened in the Holy Land around 1 BCE to 70 CE do you? The Romans enslaved thousands of Jews, sent them on slave ships around the Mediterranean where some did die or got tossed overboard, those that didn't die on the ships many of them died at the hands of cruel masters. There was such an influx of red Jewish slaves that they became cheaper than a horse. They were sold under the Roman Eagle. This is documented history.
