@wynnedapooh Not sure if this is answered, but for the elastic, fold the top of the fabric over the elastic (Lay it like she has) and then pin and sew. It's like when you roll the ends of the legs, so they don't fray, and just look nice. You're just placing a piece of elastic between the folds.

@wynnedapooh you add the waistband by folding over like an inch and a half hem at the top of the pants, then sewing a straight stitch all the way around, but leave 2 inches open to insert waist band. grab the elastic, pin a safety pin to the tippy top and work it through the casing that you just made on the pants. once the elastic is through, sew both sides of elastic together with a small hem(i do this part by hand) then sew the opening for the casing closed. =P I hope this helps

@wynnedapooh to sew the elastic is easy you just strech the elastic not the fabric another option is sew the fabric then pull the elastic inside cut the extra length and thats all. now if you have stomach or extra pounds sometimes is better to leave it without elastic. another option is sew the upper part with a spandex fabric like yoga pants or maternity pants. simple video is very clear about how to sew the elastic. again some people here come and dont even know basic sewing.
