  • Hi Maria...first time commentor. I am impressed with your knowledge considering you said you were self taught. I was surprised you didn't know the trick to straining those types of sauces. When you use the spoon, you push the seeds into the holes of the strainer and plug it up. The trick is to take a wooden spoon and tap the rim of the strainer sharply over and over. This keeps the seeds bouncing and not plug up the strainer. Good luck with this technique!!
