Heh. When I started actually playing Touhou, I went straight for SA first. Parsee *destroyed* me, and I was only playing on Normal. I learned to associate her theme's start with the incoming lowering of my self-esteem, followed briefly by a ragequit.

I don't see any particular reason to start one over another; except for SA, since it was the first of the games I'd heard about and I'd been itching for it. But I don't see the issue there.

and SA is number 11, so yeah...

Well, as some pointed out, while there might be some flaw in my theory, but if you google "hardest touhou game", most fan think it is "Subterranean Animism"

@hsbinh1412 Not really. For example, SoEW is harder than the rest of the series (perhaps except for SA), IN is easier than EoSD and PCB which came before it, and TD is drastically easier than everything before it perhaps except for LLS.

SoEW wasn't made by Zun and it isn't belong to the new window game line, so let's not put it in the equation

The first 3 boss of IN is easy, but the 4th, fifth and sixth boss is nightmarishly difficult (and I already 1CC EoSD)

Ten Desires is only a demo so far, so we won't know how the whole game will turn out yet

Also, difficulty is subjective. Personally, I find every boss in IN except for Reimu/Marisa to be easy.

Not to mention, ZUN said that he'd make TD easier, and it seems to hold true.

SoEW wasn't made exclusively by only ZUN, but also by other people in Amusement Makers group as well, and most people only consider the one made by Team Shanghai Alice the important one.

Yeah, I guess difficulty is subjective...

..and if TD is truly supposed to be easier, then I guess I am now heartbroken D: (I am a tsundere for hard Danmaku)

Well... think of it this way. Opponents Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya and the other playables encounter become friends once the battle is over, but Parsee is an exception, everyone just....forgets her. I'll bet 10 danmaku that if she's given power she'll try to break the Hakurei border and expose everyone to the outside world. :U

Well one thing I do is as Reimu-A is I teleport to the other side and attack. Keep in mind her bullets will head to where you were last at. Going around her in a circle is also helpful knowing that. This song puts me to sleep kind of. :S
