Three scenes from the movie stand out for me--this one, the circus beating scene, and the finale. Such a sad movie, not scary but soo sad

@IndigoCat17 From what I recall the circus billed him as an elephant; from what I remember of the intro, his mother was scared by an elephant. People had weird ideas back then

The real elephant man's life story is compelling, and moving, and really nothing to laugh about. When I think of his situation, the last thing I do is laugh. But this movie scene is so corny, I can't help but smirk, (perhaps because as a kid I heard it mocked so many times.)
