@ronaldcgriffin to be fair, you were miles away from the tdz, you had hit the taxi way after the tdz which proves that you went over, and yes too much flare
great landing but u should get the overlands a380, much more realistic + the backwards angle of the landing gear of this aircraft makes it easier to land smoothly, on the overlands a380 its a whole different story with the forward facing landing gear :P
@CaNxYoUxStoP British Airways, I've already gone from Heathrow to Malaga (and return) then Heathrow to Madrid (and return) and now I'm writing this from Vienna in the opps room. Although I'm not ment to be on youtube in here :P
@CaNxYoUxStoP It can be quite strenuous at times as at the moment I'm working long hours and flying to 3 destinations a day however I think frequent takeoffs and landings are better than the long, red eye, flights where you do nothing but twiddle your thumbs. I wouldn't say it was any harder than a being a 747 or A380 pilot, if anything it's easier as you don't have to spend days away from home.
@swjgt When i was 10 i didnt like planes at (ALL) i didnt find whats the cool thing about them, but after me buying flight simulator 98 and then keep buying all the flight simulators by microsoft. planes after that were my favorite thing in the world. i love the way the land , how they do crosswind landings and how nice the models of the planes are including the a380. and having favorite airlines as british ariways, singapore, and American airlines.!
@CaNxYoUxStoP I didnt used to be interested in aircraft until in 1991, when I was 11, I went to New York with my family and my dads friends family in their new Gulfstream G IV. I got to fly the aircraft part way across the Atlantic and that is what got me into flying, I then joined air cadets and got my private pilots licence when I was 16, my dad then bought me a new Piper Seminole. And that is how I got into the profession Im in now.
@swjgt that is awsome..im 16 and i wonder if i can do anything right now about aviation?. and btw do you like the flight simulators that microsoft make?
@CaNxYoUxStoP I would strongly advise joing Air Cadets, it can show patential employees that you are very interrested in aviation, however you did say that you go to flight school and so that is likely to be enough in an interview situation. Which brings me on to private pilots license, in the UK the age to get a pilots license in 16 I'm not sure if it's the same in the US.
@CaNxYoUxStoP I myself have FS2004 and think that many aspects of the aircraft are similar, i think FSX is alot more realistic than 2004. But in a real aircraft you get to see a lot more and vision is not limited by the windshield in flight sims. (soz I had to send 2 messages as when I send long ones it gives me an error message)
@swjgt yeah i had FS2004 too, but the problem that in FSX you need a high end computer to run it at full settings just like in real life everything is unlimated. so im planning on buying a new computer this summer, to enjoy more the scenery and make cool videos..one question, do you let anyone come into the cockpit or yourself to put a camera and record your landings inside??
@CaNxYoUxStoP Only staff of the airline (flight crew, cabin crew, flight schedule managers etc.) are alowed into the cockpit. When you see videos that have someone in the cockpit filming it is usually a pilot or cabin crew member that is just being taken to another airport and filming the flight. I personally have never filmed one of my landings but if I did I would have to rest it on the sill above the autpilot.
@swjgt maybe because my cousin was part of the crew, but anyway, i thoroughly enjoyed it, especially because my goal is to become an airline pilot : )
is that the wilco a380? i have the same and mine refuses to line up with the runway. May i dont know how, but i use the MCDU Radio Nav and it just dont do anything when i APPR and have AP 1+2 for autoland. It just doesnt want to line up with the run way.
Just as you plane is about to turn onto finals press the "LOC" button and then look at you pfd and in one of the boxes at the top you should see LOC appear in white underneath your current setting for direction. As soon as your plane recognises the localiser it will go green and the plane will start turning to line up with the runway. Then you can hit the APPR button and turn on AP 1+2 and then sit back and watch the plane land itself :) (loc standss for localiser)
i feel like a really big idiot asking this but last night i downloaded the demo (just to see what it was like i think it was sfx 9) and i couldn't acellorate or seem to turn the plane can any1 send me the controlls (simple ones) thank you :)
@ahmadkhasawneh there is but it's illegal and probably won't work. FSX was made by Microsoft, one of the richest companies in the world, I don't think they would take kindly to piracy (if they found out they'd probably call the FBI)
is this an abacus a380 if it is i have the same problem that on real a380's only the inner engines carry out the reverse thrust rather than all 4. and also where did u get the london 2012 paint??
erm they actually do have reversers on all 4 but they dont use them all the time because 1 you might not need them and 2 they over hang onto the grass which means the engines will just rip it up and suck up all the dirt into the engines.
He looked very skilled on this landing, I assume that he is using ILS, but I have no idea, we cant judge him about being too good, the flare and the timing/height was perfect. I'll have to P.M him and let you know :)

i have a smooth landing vid but its in a qantas 737-800 at melbourne its like 1ft per min its so smooth u can only see it landing by the smoke from the wheels

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we enjoy flying "Flight Simulator"?
(2) What does make us to play Flight Simulator over and over again?
(3) What is the fun to flying in a way that can only be accomplish in "Flight Simulator"? (eg. landing an 747 on a carrier on the sea)
(4) Why do we like to fly different models of aeroplanes with different external paintings in different airlines?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creatives and brainstorms!!! :)
