I truly believe that Stephen lost a part of his inspiration for lyrics after NTFP. While Ciities is better musically, once New Surrender arrived, and now their new songs; fans can tell they are so uninspired. When you listen to songs like Time & Confusion, Unwinding Cable Car, Naive Orleans, or Day Late Friend and then listen to We Owe this to ourselves, the difference in sincerity is depressing. I will always love Anberlin's sound. But their sound needs Stephen's humble and poetic thoughts.
