it downclocks when cpu isnt doing anything worth the power, run a game and look at cpu-z, then it should say 2.3

my laptop has increadbly bad cooling and may reach 60 degreese when playing cod 4 so is it a good idea to overclock from 2.13 ghz to 2.2 or even 2.3?

I overclocked an Intel Core 2 Duo from 2.8 Ghz to 3.2 Ghz and with fans on full speed using SpeedFan, it only got from around 5-15 degrees hotter. I only had it overclocked for 15 minutes though.

(use something to support it a few inches off the table) so that air circulates and keeps it cool.
