i use the sniper, while it is -generally- easy to use, trying to hit moving targets (and let's face it, there are very few stationary targets in a fast paced game like tribes) is a challenge and i miss a lot if i'm stressing to get a finishing hit, i get more satisfaction from sniper kills, and i tend to use snipers in what ever game i play anyway. great video, some good tips as always ^-^

Using the Assault Rifle really takes alot of skill. This is why tribes is an awesome game. Bullet drop and projectile speed takes time to learn T.T

If you are going to play this you can't ftp. The default classes suck balls and it takes years to unlock them normally.

@ikheetjason I've experienced crashing in Origin, but not in BF3 itself. I'd recommend checking out the BF3 support forums to see if you can find a fix for your particular issue.

@Vidyadude IMO, the Jumper is the best flag capping class for Dry Dock because of the way that map is designed, but Pathfinder is my preferred class on every other map.

@ASoggySandal VIP status gives you priority login and a permanent token/experience earning bonus. There were plans for special VIP servers, but I believe Hi-Rez scrapped that and has other VIP benefits planned instead.

I wish I had that class unlocked. It's so hard to get up to speed again when you're using the soldier and you're getting stopped somewhere. I never know what to do in these situations.

@ApotheosisNemesis One technique you can use is disc jumping (shoot a disc at your feet behind you to accelerate forward). It's not effective in all situations, but can be very helpful, especially for chasing down flag carriers.

BF3 is one of the more hardware intense game that's come out lately, so its frames are lower than other titles (lots of lighting, physics, high res textures, big draw distance and the like), so you shouldn't be too worried. Are you running it at 1680x1050?

Congrats, Brandon. I really do look forward to playing a Tribes title with you again. I didn't get a lot of time with Dry Dock for that short time it was in, but I managed to figure out my turret placement. I've been a bit turned off over the loadouts (Technician not having a spinfusor is soooo lame), but have enjoyed the game otherwise.

I have no interest in the Jumper, because it isn't really my playstyle, but I enjoyed the commentary and the video. Keep up the excellent work. <3

@o0KAPPi0o A friend was in the market for a new (non-gaming) PC, and the 980X was a good fit for him, so I sold my PC to him as an excuse to build myself a new rig. Also, my unlocked/overclocked 6950 far outperforms my old 5870. :p

@Iamheggemo This map is called Dry Dock. It was taken out of the CTF rotation last patch, but was put back in with the patch that just went live yesterday. You'll definitely have a chance to see it if you play CTF over the next few days.
