@romanianday True. The problem with people who talk about "pure" vs. "mixed" races is that they think our part of history is the only one that ever existed or ever will exist. A thousand years from now, mullatos could very well be considered a "pure" race.
Also, even though there are interracial marriages, the vast majority of people marry within their own race so I don't think any currently "pure" race will die out anytime soon.

Iceland has pure strains of genetics because it was founded by only a dozen familes, and these families intermingled to produce the distinct common nordic features of icelandic people today. It is also debated that part of their genetics is attibuted to Irish migration .... where monks had converted and blended with the local popualtion (seeing the girls - who wouldnt?). Short answer is that they just dont look as pretty and Swedish girls because of the lack of variety.
