  • Thanks for the compliment Holly! Means a lot especially coming from you. :)

  • Good job teaching your dog to jump on you.

  • @pupscouts Understand Free Shaping before you are so quick to judge what I am teaching my dog to do.

  • love her hair style ^_^

  • I first taught her that training is a super fun thing to do with me. She was play-trained since she was 8 weeks old. In the video you will notice that if she got stuck I would take a small step. With free-shaping you are not really supposed to give any signals (either verbal or physical), so I did cheat a little with the step prompts.

  • Wow, that's very impressive indeed!

How do you make her understand that she needs to come up with something herself? I understand that she gets that clicker = treat, but how do you get her so focused on trying it herself?

  • @lucymichellex I am shaping her, .i.e., she gets clicked for close approximations in the beginning. Eventually, I stop clicking for ho hum behaviors so she tries harder. Gayle Fisher wrote a great book on free shaping. I admit, free shaping is pretty easy with a Standard Poodle so I had a advantage here.

  • A great way of training a dog that requires just as much patience, which I clearly seen. Nice work!
