I used a cyclone filter/condenser in my first unit, which powered a pickup truck, and while it was very neat and compact, it did not do a very good job of cooling or condensing ... possibly because the gas passed through it faster than I had thought.
Also, there are a lot of energy conversions there ... this unit is for demo purposes, so simple and visible is good.
u could get rid of the large pipe and make a mettal bubbler and then the water will cool the gas and then it will be more conpact
