  • I practiced with a couple of 4ch indoor Helis and a 4-6ch simulator for a week b4 I took the bee cp3 and blade 400 to the park.

Very big park + almost no trees = good

I find the best way is to get it UP (25m) right away from the ground and just relax - you can recover these no matter what so long as collective is good and you have altitude + keep your cool.

That being said - you will still crash at some point. I do.

  • @cyanideisabitterpill Good advice. Good luck with your flying.

  • love the camera guy's laugh

  • @JetFlyyer His laugh was the main inspiration for me uploading this video. Yes, it makes you laugh yourself doesn't it?

  • oh my. you should never land backwards the the tail support got caught in the grass

  • sucks big time ...i dont like the HB V2 ...

i guess if you try the coaxial you will be more better in hovering

  • @akoundal Thanks for the comment. I remember this evening like it was yesterday. The good thing about these helicopters is they are good for learning the basics as crashing is quite cheap compared to some of the others.

  • @johnsoncp13 yup i have brought spare blades as i know that they will break for sure learning from my first coaxial, still i was able to get howering and control from the coax way faster then fixed pitch, looks like it will be a while b4 i get used to the trims on these , but for sure wont be buying any fixed pitch anytime soon, its going to be big lama coaxial again :D

  • i had 1 really nice but 1st flight thru kitchen tore the whole thing up,luckaly recovered with a new 1.

  • unlike 4 channel chocial 6 channel is more sensetive and more powerfull

i am still cant get the grib of six channel ...

it hard to control it especially bell cp...

u need to train on a good simulator before u try to handle six channel..

    i recomanded phionex simulator

  • I don't think I could ever handle one of those. I like my little Mico Chinook. As it's almost totally crash resistant I can get lots of practice in without having to reqair it.

  • jajaja! yeah thats true, but you have more fun with one of this...

  • looks like your battery was mounted too far back. bring it forward so it overhangs. hold it down with rubber bands. gives better balance for your heli making it easier to learn to fly. otherwise it,s like pissing into wind.

  • LoL...thats funny...heli comes close to him and he starts running in place! haha...good vid and good flying!!

  • Thanks. That was a long time ago but I remember it like it was yesterday.

  • its november cp3s arrive i will make a video on sunday 27th december and will post it on monday the the 28th this will give me time to post and make the video it will be of my new cp3 {first 6ch heli) and my new kyosho piper cheroke minium series first 4ch rc plane :)

  • Enjoy the new heli when it arrives!

  • get a simulator its worth its weight in gold

  • hi again xXDEVILDICEXx here changed my name finnaly learnd to fly this thing getting the new cp3 coming soon then the king 3 for christmas along whit a dx7 hope santa hasent been caught up in the credit crunch lol:)

  • These little things are so hard to fly. I bought one with about 4 or 5 extra batteries, tons of parts for it...and I never could get the thing to fly. I sold it on Ebay, instead. lol I real heli responds slower due to the larger size, of course.

  • no? practice on a rc simulator. it takes months of practice to fly one

  • Get that Helicommand back mate and stick it on this haha :D

I have one of these FP HoneyBee there great fun ;)

  • got the fp still learning to fly but doing better than i thought i would how long did it take you to learn to fly?

  • one more thing NICE DANCE LOL

  • Haha bit of a laugh. I've got one of these on the way. Thanks for sharing mate!

  • Better have a cold pint before you fly again...lol

  • Yes, cheers!

  • Next time you will fly move the stick just a little and quick.

  • Oh dear... เซ็งเป็ด...

  • was this you first heli? and is it a good beginner?im thing of starting flying heli's

i been looking at your other vids i might do the same as you... Honey bee, honey bee king 2 (instead on Trex),Pigeon 450M1(like the trex but cheaper), Belt somewhere in between. hmmmm ive subscribe btw

  • Hi and thanks for subscribing. This was my first heli and I spent hours and hours trying to hover it tail in. Well worth all the work as they are such great fun. Good luck with your heli flying.

  • No problem :) im ordering my HB at the end of november should have video's of me learning

  • I look forward to seeing your videos. Chris

  • well fuck me dont ever be too confident LMAO

  • Nice video.

I have a FP myself, and learning.

    Keep up the good work

    Greetz from Holland

  • Thank you and hello Holland!

  • i recently got one of these when i try to take off it tries to fly sideways any help what do i need to adjust and how thanks

  • This is normal I'm afraid. It's caused by the rear rotor trying to stop the heli from spinning. All you can do is apply a little right stick on take off. You will see on my video it tries to go left and I 'nudge' it right. Good luck.

  • Hi, I have been flying my honey bee FP for a couple of weeks now and i have really improved I can hover up to 5 - 10 minutes and i have probably gone as high as 3 meters

But I cant seem to do a nose in hover!!

Any tips you could give me on nose in hovering would be greatly appreciated

    Thnaks!

  • Firstly, well done on your progress so far. 2 weeks isn't very long so you are doing well. We all look forward to that first nose in hover and it can take months of practice. There are many approaches to this but I prefer the heli to be quite low and fairly near me. Make sure you are confident doing piros so you can piro out of any mistakes. Try pausing part way round when it faces you. Try clockwise and anti clockwise as you will probably prefer one over the other.

  • When it is facing you, don't panic. Remember that the controls are in reverse. You can either concentrate on this or another trick is to move the right stick in the direction the helicopter is moving. It's moving towards you, move the stick towards you. It's moving right, move the stick right. Keep all movement very small. Just like you would tail in. I look forward to seeing your videos.

  • I need some advice.

I have recentley bought a wireless spy camera off ebay. I strapped it to the bottom of my honey bee FP but when i put the throttle up the helicopter did not take off very well. I think it is because of the heavy bulky 9v battery the camera needs.

Is there a cheap and safe way to connect the camera into the honey bee lipo battery or if I should splash out and get the flycameone!

    Thanks

  • The HBFP is 11.1V which is probably a little too high for the camera so you will need to fit a resistor to drop the voltage to 9V. It will shorten the flight duration a little as well. If you know the current drawn by the camera we can calculate the resistor value.

  • the camera draws our 8V

where can I buy these resistors and are they safe!!

  • I've just got mine can only hover and stay in the air for a few seconds!

  • Stick with it. They are great fun and much harder to fly than most people imagine. I look forward to seeing your videos.

  • I've got one of these on the way to me. It's coming with 3 NiMH 8.4 650mAH batteries (LiPo batteries can burn your heli up if they get in too hard of a crash). I did get the training gear...1 Swashplate set (just in case)...3 sets of main rotor blades, and 3 sets of tail rotor blades. Hopefully I'll learn fairly well without crashing very much :-)

  • What are them orange things on the bottom?

  • When you first start flying you can fix a training device. It is basically four table tennis balls on thin rods. They are quite cheap and help a lot!

  • you were hovering quite well, it look like you changed altitude too quickly and had a boombstrike.. happens often w/ beginners. i still have a good boomstrike every once in awhile

  • Your Honey Bee is the same as mine but you fly ALOT better.

  • This video is hilarious! I see that you now have a TREX 450 SE V2. How much better does it fly tan that honey bee? How long have you been flying between this video and now? Thanks for the video! I got a laugh out of it! -Scott

  • Scott, To be honest there is no comparison. The T-Rex 450 is massively more stable and much better to fly. However, the Honey Bee can crash without damage but the T-Rex is damaged every time it crashes. Fortunately spares are cheap :)

I started on the Honey Bee about 6 months ago. Been flying the T-Rex for about 3 months now.

Honey Bee great for learning! T-Rex great for flying!

  • Bull shit like ur a girl- A 'real' girl wouldn't diss someone who just put a movie onto youtube for a bit of fun- If you had any sign of intelligence Im sure that you would of reframed from posting such a idiotic comment- Any one with just a little intelligence could see that this was posted not to be serious-

  • Well maybe you did see that Kerry- but you posted it anyway because your and adolescent teenage prick- And you just wanted to do something different and get attention because you are so ignored from you parents?? Just a theory :D

  • where did u get the orangne thing that u used (i have the same heli and i just started to fly it)

  • Hello. These 'training kits' are really useful. You can find them on eBay and lots of RC helicopter shops sell them. They make the helicopter feel sluggish though (which is quite nice when you're learning :))

  • Good first flights...Im just starting to fly mine. I can hardly get it to stand still before hover...

Was yours hard to control? In other words...were your fingers going constantly on the sticks?

  • Hi and yes. My problem was losing height. I didn't like to go too high but at least you have time to recover when it's not just above the ground. Good luck. It's great fun.

  • I know what u going through. You just hang in there, it WILL come!

But you looked like you were having enough fun anyway!!

  • i enjoyed the video and the Dance!!

  • I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the video.

This was meant as a humorous demonstration of how not to fly a helicopter. At the time I had only just started to learn and my friend thought it was very funny when I crashed.

You will see from my later videos that I can now fly better. As you probably know it is not easy to fly an RC helicopter.

I hoped that people watching this may be able to relate to the mistakes we make and feel that they are not the only ones that crash.

  • You don't need to justify your actions, it was a cool vid I liked it.

Any real heli pilot experienced or not wouldn't make such a dumb ass comment to put you down like that not cool.

  • video was funny to watch :D But when learning to hover, it's better to be alone. Just one person talking from the side is too much for a beginner to handle.

  • Comment removed

  • 1 word- are you female? coz Kerry is mostly a girls name? if not are you gay and got it changed mr or miss hot shit pilot

  • Thats more than one word. I am a shit hot pilot, and yes a girl. You know what a girl is? Probably not! "One question"; do you have a girlfriend? Ha Ha Lol. P.s. My shit is not hot. But it does smell of roses!! Is Mr 1FirechaosX1 your bit teddy bear lover then? You seem to have issues of sexuality.

  • Hey don't worry man, it happens to us all. Keep up the practice.

  • awesome man...im 14 and i got mine 3 days ago...i can already fly it nose-out hovers...i don't fly outside though.

Hang in there! it takes lots of practice!

  • hey im 14 too. I have had mine for around 3 weeks now and i am getting into nose in hovers

I only fly outside on nice days

    Same heli too! Nice flying!

  • I love it when he says "What actually happened then?"

  • Anything major broken?

  • doing good. it takes time but it'll come. just wait in a few months and with a 3D capable heli, you have some fun.

  • Great job. It takes lots of practice. Hang in there.

  • haha haa ha

  • ouch lol

  • embarrasing!!
