hmmm do my ears decieve me? or do i hear EVE music? :) used to play EVE it really doesnt have a huge learning curve( after the first month anyway lol) its mostly automated and redundant . this is far more of a real game and im a 5 year+ veteran with tons of money and a a corp.

hey buddy, the reason why u didnt get anything is cos some rocks are worthless and have no minerals i them. you should buy a mineral wcanner for your mining ship so it makes it easier for you to find good rocks

Folks I gotta say this game dows look pretty good. Also you can do some mining.. I love mining. I current play EveOnline as a Miner and I have to say If EveOnline took the Graphics from X3 it would be perfect. I'm going to test X3 out and see how it goes. But for now I will never leave EveOnline..... Best Game so far

EVEOnline you have less direct control of the ship. i hate that. i played eve it was ok but i find X3 better cuz of the direct control of the ship. also i dont know if you can build bases and have wingmen/drones/your own army in Eve but you can in X3

I found EVE online boring, about lack of proper guidance for newbs(The whole system is confusing, even if I did the tutorial, I didn't know how to mine). Also no direct control of the ship, also the monthly charge. If it would have a fixed price, then I'd definitly buy it and get aquanted with. But the 14 trial didn't conviced me.

eve online pretty much is a game for ppl that are willing to commit to a single game and have the patience and time to let the game unfold itsself

its not suitable for casual players and 14days certainly arent nearly enough to understand its complexity by any means

its very different to most other games in that aspect

X3 mining:

1. get a silicon/ore mine and set it up somewhere in a system which is near to alot of stations that need ore or silicon

2. get a freighter+ore collector cause they can hold more then a centaur

1. go to argon prime and tractor beam the argon ONE.

2. drag it all the way into ore belt and pull it into an asteroid, destroying both

3. get a few mining ships in

4. ?????

5. PROFIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

if u try and tractor beam the argon 1 it will shoot the living crap out of you. Argon 1 is invincible. Trust me i tried to kill it and after hp drops to a certain % dosen't drop anymore. Had 4 destroyers a crap load of m3s on it and they couldn't kill it.

i mainly use my centaur for mining, its got a good cargo hold, can hold the ore collector, and can pack a punch to boot!

and, get xtended .7.3, it rocks, you have to start over, but you can use the X3-X3 converter in the scripts and mods database on the egosoft site
