@kimidonguri I think it partially has to do with the sudden differences in sides. He's a king's man, the Abbey is loyal to Maude. Even Cadfael, who previously didn't take sides, is leaning towards the Abbey's wishes so there is tension. I find it interesting myself. What does bother me, is this Hugh doesn't seem as street-wise as Sean's. Wish Sean had stayed. Though I have to say, there were times when he wasn't calm! :)

don't think i like this version oh hugh very much :( used to him being so calm and collected and much more cunning instead of angry....
