What is your setup? Do have everything coming from your computer in the mixer?

my setup is pretty simple for now, athlonxp 3200+, 1gb ddr 400, onboard sound card + aureal vortex 2... but now i'm selling the mixer and getting am-audio x-ponent and a top notch lap top :)... all digital is the way for me ;)

that's tight man... this is exactly what I want to do until I save enough money for some CDJs or Technics... do you think that you can do this with a PreSonus Firebox (I'm asking because you wrote that 2 soundcard outputs are needed and I don't know exactly what outputs work).. please let me know if you have any idea.

thanks for the reply... I ended up getting a Numark DXM06 and it's hooked up via my firebox to my laptop... for a starting mixing setup it's good for the cost.

Another question, how do you adjust the beatgrid with the "tick" button, since you can't run the preview channel through the djm-400 aswell, or can you somehow?

I sample the loop, then send it to channel 2 and do preview it on that channel, Then I play the player on same channel and mix both...

sorry man but I can't at the moment cause my video card is dead... all i can tell you is, you can connect the cdjs and the pc but, you will always have only two channels...

Hi man, I am curious to know how you do it with the computer. I mean do you control the software with your mixer or just plug the mixer to the computer and so on? Can you create loop with the mixer from the sound going out from the computer? It really intrigue me.

wazup... well, what i'm doing is using the software to play the music, and both channels of my mixer to mix it.. on the video, I sampled with the mixer part of track B, then i looped the track A that was ending, entered with the sample that was recorded on the mixer, then i started the track B and mixed both 3 parts on ;) pretty cool feature the in loop sampler
