I've heard it said many times that God didn't hear the prayers from the Death Camps. That is not so! God heard every one of His people's prayers. God's ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. God allows evil in the world so that He can draw a greater good from it. As an amateur Military Historian for over 35 years I seldom feel much emotion any more. It's a shame really, but studying war (and death) does desensitize you. I know... but you also have to realize how PAINFUL it must be. She thought her family was dead... and they're not, so she missed out on an entire lifetime of being with them. It would be really hard to go through -- even though it's wonderful to meet them, now she has lost more than she thought she lost before.

Honestly, I was crying when I saw both the old man and the old lady got a chance to meet each other again after 65 years.

But I'm very happy for them. I shared with my friends, some of them didn't say anything but had a sad face and the others were hugging me and each other and crying a lot.

I could not image it either my friend. My grandmother has not seen her siblings even longer than 60 years because they died in the Holocaust. She was the only member of her family to make it out alive. That is why I cry tears of happiness when I watch videos like these. I am just so happy for this family. I pray that God gives them extra rime to make up for so much lost time.

Tonight I just watched the premiere of the movie "The Boy in The Striped Pajamas". It was so sad. It is hard to comprehend that kind of hate. I am glad I didn't live in that time to experience it. It's quite possible that as a survivor of severe trauma, she was actually unable to easily display emotion. This is a common effect of tragedy - people bury their emotions; sometimes too well. And perhaps there's no right or wrong way to respond.
