Was just trying to tell to my kids what a brilliant show Scrap Saturday was (what brought it to mind is that one of the best shows was the Paddy's Day "History of Haughey" is coming up on 20 YEARS OLD this Thursday!) It was an exceptional show, but as Dermot himself once said, the reason the show dies was that there weren't good enough characters in the Dail when Charlie departed. I suppose we still have Nooney Baby to remind us! Dermot was brilliant and a hell of a nice guy.
