Sort off yes. I mean we were discussing names that could fit our music, not just some name that was cool, but something that would mean something to us. And we wanted some loose feeling in our music, loose groove something like that. so the bassist remembered Layne's line from brush way - and we thought that's alright, that's cool, that has meaning and a GREAT band and singer to be remembered, so here we are - LOOSE GROUND. Thanks a lot. We have lots of influences. We are open minded in terms of music. Loose Ground is influenced by the Seattle bands of the 90's and the 90's in general. The 60's and 70's and old school, really old Blues. Funny as it may seem, we like PJ and think they're great, they're a influence, but not THE one. AIC, Nirv, M Season, Mother L Bone, Soundgarden, were/are our favourites from Seattle. So reminding a bit PJ it's something only natural I guess. Cobain and Morrison "made" Tiago sing.

Thanks a lot. Well it's all a matter of perspective I guess. Some people may compose in order to be happy, and have that party side of life. Everyone has good and bad moments in life, and music is always connected with that. In fact music is connected with life as a complete cycle of generations. We tend to use it, play and compose, in a way it can help us to release anger and pain in a positive constructive way. Music is a great therapy to everyone, Course it's great to be alive and to live.

Yes, you're right of course - and true I have a lot of alternative music in my collection - whenever I was really down it would have to be Brian Ferry and Roxy Music, the Avalon album, to provide the soundtrack for the dark blue mood. But again, a great song - professional and profound.
