i dont really like the 6.0 either but it makes much more power and gets better gas mileage than the 7.3, and if you take a 6 leaker to powerstroke help for 5k they'll bulletproof it and youll get the reliability of the old 7.3.

if you take care of your 6.5/6.2 they will last forever the only reason they crack is because their based off a gas engine so if you just take it easy you can easily hit 300k and the ford 6.0 is the biggest peice of shit iv ever seen my boss had a ford 6.0 and didnt even make it past 70k

And with time can warp the timing chain, which is the first domino to tip. The best upgrades for these engines are 18.5:1 pistons, Stronger cylinder heads and gaskets, a stud girdle and timing gears, this will not only strengthen the engine, it will also be able to accommodate more power.
