I just ended the book: Elvis and Me by Priscilla. I don't think she makes him look bad in this book. It's just here view of the marriage. and of course there are always two sides to a story. Priscilla did a wonderful job tastefully restoring Graceland and opening it to the public as a museum. What better way to keep the memories of Elvis alive, plus provide an inheritance for Lisa Marie and her children. I hope to be able to visit Graceland sometime. I was only a child when Elvis died, but I remember my mother listening to his records. Now as I'm older, I enjoy reading about him and listening to his music too. Regardless of what anyone says, he was truly an amazing singer!
Love this video! Elvis and Priscilla were an absolutely stunning couple. Priscilla has such a beautiful, delicate face, and Elvis in his younger days was just about the most handsome man I've ever seen. Too bad their love, so obvious in many of these clips, didn't continue to grow instead of them growing apart. I think she was the love of his life though and a lot of his emotional songs of the 70's were about their relationship. I admire and respect Priscilla for how she handled her life.
It is one of the hardest thing to live with an addict, the mood swings and lack of support and dependability would put anyone under immense strain. Also, xian did you know that after the divorce one of her friends informed her that they thought she did not get enough from the settlement and convinced her to take him back to court for more? That and her living off him still to this day when they have been divorced for over 35 years says Greed to me plain and simple, the only one who deserves any of his money is Lisa Marie and her children, the true heirs to his estate and the only ones entitled to the name Presley.

Priscilla's leaving had nothing to do with Elvis's death. He was on drugs before they broke up and her leaving could not cause heart disease!! It was the greedy doctors and the greedy enablers around him. She flew in from CA to tell him she was leaving 12/71, and they hadn't been living together before that. But if you listen very carefully to all discs he's made from 1972 on, you can trace his biography in those 5 years. His musical choices became bitter and bitter, specially before the "listen, Cylla" episode. Starting in '73, you see him sing love songs with his heart as always and yet his face says "so much BS". I just ended the book: Elvis and Me by Priscilla. I don't think she makes him look bad in this book. It's just here view of the marriage. and of course there are always two sides to a story. It's to bad that Elvis can't tell his version. I do believe they loved each other a lot. And I still think Elvis was a great guy. He just had a really strange life and a lot to deal with. And Priscilla was to young and to innocent to deal with it. He should have had a stronger woman by his side!

Elvis was a pr1ck towards Priscilla during their marriage. She has since said so herself.
When he would call her name and she would raise her eyes instead of her head (causing wrinkling in her forehead- f*ck, NORMAL!), he would slap her on her forehead to deter her from doing that.
He also refused to have sex outright with Priscilla after she had given birth to Lisa-Marie. He didn't believe in shagging women who had been pregnant.

I believe that Priscilla was Elvis' downfall. She is probaby proud of it in her own mind, but would never admit to it. She always made herself out to be the victim when it came to her and Elvis. Maybe she Was the victim at times, but in the end, I believe Elvis was her victim. That is not why she left him. That was one of the reasons. But the main reason was because of his drug problem he was addicted to sleeping pills and was not himself when he was on them. She did love him and leaving him was the hardest thing she ever had to do but again I have said this many times and I will say it again she had Lisa to think about not just herself. Priscilla did a wonderful job tastefully restoring Graceland and opening it to the public as a museum. What better way to keep the memories of Elvis alive, plus provide an inheritance for Lisa Marie and her children. I hope to be able to visit Graceland sometime. I was only a child when Elvis died, but I remember my mother listening to his records. Now as I'm older, I enjoy reading about him and listening to his music too. Regardless of what anyone says, he was truly an amazing singer!

Love this video! Elvis and Priscilla were an absolutely stunning couple. Priscilla has such a beautiful, delicate face, and Elvis in his younger days was just about the most handsome man I've ever seen. Too bad their love, so obvious in many of these clips, didn't continue to grow instead of them growing apart. I think she was the love of his life though and a lot of his emotional songs of the 70's were about their relationship. I admire and respect Priscilla for how she handled her life.

It is one of the hardest thing to live with an addict, the mood swings and lack of support and dependability would put anyone under immense strain. Love is not enough and Elvis wasn't strong or motivated sufficiantly to regain control over his life, it's very sad but Priscilla doesn't deserve such venom.

i think elvis & priscilla's love was amazing. it was the most sincere thing. you can tell by the way they look at each other, its just elvis was a man (a sexy man) and his fans (gorgeous fans) adored him when he was on the road - and priscilla wasnt there - he needed to be fulfilled for a while. they didnt mean anything, priscilla meant everything. but if i was in priscilla's shoes - i would have done things TOTALLY different. . .
