  • at the end of the day this pedal can produce some decent layers but unless you are a VERY good singer, it will take a LOT of time and sweat to sound anything decent

  • Well, I got one on the strength of these demos, and an hour with my Roland rep, and it is brilliant. The trick is to figure out your key sig and intervals in rehearsals, and program that as a preset for that song alone. Then step through songs. There are 64 user presets, so it's not like your'e going to run out. Brilliant bit of kit.

  • Maybe for you ppl with studio MIDI systems or a Live keyboard player comping with a pad/string sound you could probably use those other systems that read MIDI note inputs from the keyboard player or other instruments. But they cost a whole lot more. A good singer would be comfortable with this, because they have the skill to sing harmonies above or below the melody line on the fly. Then hearing and adjusting their singing notes to blend with this VE-20 is something natural for them.

  • okay for the loop do i have to put the mic to my guitar

cause thats what i would loop cause i dont beat box and there are songs that play a certain riff over, or could i plug my guitar through it

  • @dejavu3552

What the hell are you trying to use a Vocal Processor on your guitar for? Get a loop station and put a pedal board together like everyone else.

  • @LucasJRice just tryin to see if itd work chill out dumb ass i have a pod x3 live

  • either I get some help or this thing is going back asap. All I'm wanting to do is just record two part harmonies with the lead vocal I already have recorded on my Zoom HD 16 but no matter how I set it I'm getting these wierd harmonies. I consider myself a very good singer (check me out if you'd like) and I know my pitch isn't perfect but this is way off. Also how can I just sing with my acoustic guitar without it also coming through the mic and getting the harmony effects etc.?

  • @jhaley12

ha ha, tough, it just tracks at a diatonic interval you set. So you gotta know the notes you're singing to stay in the chord for implied harmonies. I found it more useful as a backup singer doing Uuuhhs, aaahhs and oooohhs. Else if I'm singing as lead, I would choose +3 or -3 interval in the right key, turn in on at some sections and carefully chose the notes I sing when sustaining. Someone told me I will have too much theory going on in my head while I sing, they're probably right

  • @nickeeboy whoever told you that you have too much theory in your head is right. i know how to sing, i've been doing for for over 40 years, most of those years professionally. I can imagine you doing a show and trying to figure out which +3 or -3 you should use. the pedal is useless, period.

  • Hey, man can you help me out? My VE 20 won't save the fact that I change the harmony pedal to Pitch correction, and it just switches back when ever I change anything else such as the effect I choose or turn it off. I'm following the instructions exactly. So it won't stay in the mode where pitch corrector is on the pedal. what's going on?

  • @ddogg7 Go to the end and click "write" basically save

  • It actually sounds good and not like chipmunks. Just a bad recording

  • sounds like a chipmunk is singing along

  • Sounds like shit.
