i had to stand security when he played my local city, i specifically chose the front of the house because i love jools, he inspired me to pick up piano after dropping it for 4 years as a pre-teen. i cried when we was on lol i was that happy!

Saw Jools last week in Nottingham. If you haven't seem him live withs his R&B Orchestra you've got to go. The sound is jsut amazing. Had my feet tapping the whole way through. Truly awesome show. Must see!!!!!!!!!!

nah not that i ever seen, u just got to listin to it an try to copy. i done it, took long thoug. the low bit that goes into the high improvisation bit before the finale is e at the bottom and then right band is a b - then d f aflat b etc to the top

Its so annoying, I can get the left hand going fine and then theres all this improvisation in the Am blues scale... not to mention his intro lick, definitely one to learn by ear.

I found the best way to start improvising in Am over the bassline is to keep the rhythms of both hands together and play it slower. Once you have mastered the bass line, 100%, then you can try exploring more complex riffs. Good luck! =)
