What a great song/band/clip. I used to have LP 'Fruit Loop City' but guess it vanished when I sold about 600 LPs when I was skint in the 90s. Fred Negro is magic. I gather there's a statue of him in St Kilda. Nostalgia: drummer has Sth Melbourne top. Fave bit was always Fred bashing himself in the side of the head with a dead fish. Thanks for posting this.

monkeykrueger was right in thinking of the b52's rock lobster as it is a heavy influence on this track so Sashgala you bloody drongo grow a pair of ears and listen to rock lobster which was released way before this in 1978.They even use a bit from the monkeys stepping stone for a laugh so now we have 2 other songs that influenced this. Cool song in it's own right but the influence on this track slaps you in the face at the very start

I think you may be right there. I fished for pirahna in Brazil in 1996 in the Pantanal. A mate and I (with a guide) waded out into the middle of a waterhole and fished for them whilst waist deep in water. Needless to say, we watched the guide for 30 minutes before we waded out ourselves. As long as you don't have an open wound your ok. And of course being a Gravys fan sealed our safety! Never have tried fruit loops though . . . :-)
