Greenspan said we need a gold standard which is what makes him so evil because he knew that and didn't care. Paul is a hard line Austrian schooler which is different than monetarism completely. The Fed is what opened the door to corporatism in this country so we need to get rid of it. You cant just base currency off of debt and just increase debt forever.

If Greenspan said we need a gold standard, then he is indeed evil as, like I said before, that would destroy our economy. The Fed is what opened the door to shorter and less deep recessions (it was made in response to the Great Depression).
What we should do is peg our currency to a commodity market like wheat, or to a basket of international currencies.
