Hi, I'm making a video for a university society and I was wondering if you would consider making one of those zoom videos for me but obviously to the place that I'm doing a film on. It's non profit making so don't worry about that. Hit me back if you'll consider.
@vaedriah Interesting that you should ask, because that was the most difficult part! Basically, you need to get a handycam, and get into a fast car. Start driving as fast as you can on a deserted road, and as you approach the speed of light, you'll get sort of a sonic boom. Except with light. You film that, put it on the video, and there you go. I do all of my cuts to white that way.
@Phasy lol, funny ass shit man, does it work if I just RUN really fast? I own a pair of PUMAS, anyway in all seriousness how did u do the flash but in After effects?
@dbrandao07 Hey umm yeah, just click the little thing to the right of the screen that says 'more info'. Wonderfully, more info will then show up out of nowhere and all your questions will be answered! = D
HI! I just put this video on my playlist: Based on Andrew Kramer ' Earth zoom ' tutorial . This playlist features other Youtubers like you using this FX. To get the link, go on my channel. (I cant post it here) There, you will find more playlists using other amazing FX! If you want to add more videos of your own on these playlists, PM me please! Thanks!
Great effect, I would have put some stars in at the beggining and made the cloud layer revolve a little faster than the earth in the final moment before landfall, but all in all this was really well done.
It's actually not done with a video copilot tutorial. I did this before I knew about those tutorials, and although Andrew Kramer's tutorial is a good way to do it, it looks really cheap if done incorrectly. Mine uses an actually accurate model of the earth, and the best way to improve on it would be by making the second part the Andrew Kramer way, instead of using a captured google earth animation. Without cheap cloud layers and airplanes, though.

@vaedriah Mate it's pretty much just a cut to white... White solid, fade in, fade out. Add a levels adjustment for more dynamics.
