@andagii Hey Andagii. I'm happy to respond to all questions and comments. It could take us a while to figure out exactly what the problem is - so it may be better for us to move to Private Messages. Feel free to PM me. But I will cover the basics. Are you talking about the black painted background? All I did was grab a brush and paint it black. Make sure the opacity is at 100%. Or are you talking about the black and white? You can do that under Image > Adjustments > Black & White.

@edgesofthought If you highlight the tools on the left hand side you will see a "Burn" tool. It's near the bottom. It may also say "dodge" just click and hold until you see the different tools.

@bangbangboogybaby Start off with 20x20 and then add your picture and crop it down to the size you want. You can never have enough canvas when creating, it's really up to you how much you want. I always do my art in 300 dpi, I wouldn't recommend going below 150.

@ttms6 It's a combination of Overlay, Paint, Burn and Dodge. That was just a quick goofy throw off, with a little time, using those mentioned, you can make some good blood effects.

I'm not trying to teach people every option in Photoshop, instead show them interesting and non-complex ways to make something unique and fun. I mentioned in the video there were "better ways to do this" and I hope after seeing how much they can do from this tutorial - people say "What else can I do?" and inspire them to learn further through experimenting and watching more tutorials.

@stuntsaguilera Do you know how to use the Pen Tool? Or even the lasso tool can help. Break off the area in sections with the pen/lasso and then start erasing. That should help, and to be honest, that's how I do it when I am creating a real piece of art work.

@flameon888 The best way to explain this would be to watch my first tutorial "Photoshop Tutorial: Wings" you can find it on my channel. All I did was open up a new image in Photoshop, and then select the Arrow, and drag and drop it over to the Dark Art image. Watch my first tutorial, it will help you.

@flameon888 No worries Flame, I'm here to help you. At 0:25 I am making the picture Black and White. The reason for this - it's easy to make the cracks blend in and it makes it look more like "dark" art. To do this select the primary layer and go up to "Image" > "Adjustments" > "Black & White" - you can then drag the color slider bars to get the perfect level of black and white that you want - or just leave it at default. @Lobo9272 Thank you for watching. There are a couple ways to do it. Right click on the layer and select [Flatten Image] it will compress all the layers into a single one. Also, near Flatten you will notice [Merge Down] on any layer except the primary. If you click that it will merge into the layer beneath it. This can be useful. Save your work and experiment with both. (Also there is merge visible, play with that one too)

Hi, every time i do the color burn, it darkens it so much that i can barely see the photo behind the cracks. Help would be greatly appreciated.

@dch92 I'm happy to help. Try playing with the "Opacity" on the layer, you should see it in the Layers table, should look something like this "Opacity: [100%]" If you can master Opacity, you will be a huge step further to mastering Photoshop - experiment with it. If it's not an opacity issue, make sure you made the image black and white - or brighten the colors up.

Uhm anyway I'm using Camstudio video desktop recorder. That's the one I use when I record uhm but I just cant really justify if its better when recording real time vids cause I fast forward my vid when I fit it on a specific sound track.

@jeneilpaulo What type of effect are you looking for? If you wanted them to glow - simply outline them with the pen tool, grab a color, and then paint them in using an overlay or color burn. You could play around with the glowing fx and make them glow. There are quite a few tuts on this sort of thing on youtube - but if people want me to do an eye effect tutorial I'd be happy too!
