People, DO NOT EVER blame a bad temperament on the breed. It's a lot more based on how the dogs are brought up and trained as puppies rather than the actual breed that they are. A dog which is properly socialised with all different people, other dogs and other animals, like cats, will be very well behaved, given time. They will only ever be bad is if they are trained to be so!

It's not the dog that is mean. It's how the owners treat them on whether or not they get mean. I made friends with a bonified mean doberman female. Owner couldn't believe that after 6 min of meeting Lady the mean doberman, that her and I were playing Razzle on the kitchen floor.
Pretty sure their reputation for aggression simply comes from the fact that they have historically been trained as guard and attack dogs. The Rottweiler is one of the more common breeds of guard dog these days and similarly gets an undeserved bad reputation. They aren't naturally aggressive. It's how they're raised,
However, the good news is that there’re still European working lines out there with quite a bit of defense and fight (as well as prey) drive, social dominance, sharpness, and desire to work tirelessly. Go take a look at Ellendonk, Weyermühle, Mooreiche, Doberwache, Blitzkrieger, etc bloodlines. There, you’ll find Dobermanns with THE BEST working drive. However, I do have to say that not all Euro working line Dobermanns have the best build for working or the best health.
And also, I’d like to say that Shepherds are not as protective, wary, and alert as Dobermanns. They do better with multiple handlers and strangers than Dobermanns. They are also not as sharp. Rottweilers are not as swift, agile, quick to respond, alert, loyal, obedient, and active as Dobermanns.
By the way, I’d like to add that I’m NOT trying to worsen the Dobermann’s reputation by saying these things. I've met and spent time with many different dogs of many different breeds, and have seen more problems with the breeds labled as harmless than the stereotypical bully breed dogs. I think people are free to feel the way they feel about a breed, but only through experience. Not just what they've heard. Dobermans aren"t bad dogs at all! They are my favorite. My dad trained my dog. He listened to every command, worked with my dad in law enforcement, was there when I was sad, to comfort and lick my face. He would never attack me but he would attack anyone who was a threat or didn't belong. He could even walk across monkey bars and climb walls. He also knew right from wrong, so he never did anything stupid. They're super smart, protective, loving, and loyal.
if you think they are soo bad then look up the percentage of Dobermans attacks to Pitbull atacks. you will see that Pitbulls have a higher percentage than Dobermans.

Some people can be so stupid. I mean, everyone is afraid of something, I can't judge anyone's fears, but one should sometimes or at one point try to think rationally :-)
Here I see people changing side of the road when they see a big dog, just cos that breed is said to be bad.
There are not "bad" dogs, it all depends on how people treat them, care of them and respect their nature :-)
And you're a good dog owner, your dogs are lovely and well educated. That shows how much you really love them :-)

People don't want dobermans and pit-bulls and any other dog that no one really wants cause of it's bad history. They don't relies that a dog is a dog. And you can train it to be sweet and kind like your Doberman. Or you could train it to be a cold blooded killer and who ever does that is a total douche bag

This video made my night. It's sad how breedist alot of people are. I've met and spent time with many different dogs of many different breeds, and have seen more problems with the breeds labled as harmless than the stereotypical bully breed dogs. I think people are free to feel the way they feel about a breed, but only through experience. Not just what they've heard. Once you've taken the time to get to know a handful of dogs from these breeds, THEN I'll listen to what you have to say.

Dobermans aren"t bad dogs at all! They are my favorite. My dad trained my dog. He listened to every command, worked with my dad in law enforcement, was there when I was sad, to comfort and lick my face. He would never attack me but he would attack anyone who was a threat or didn't belong. He could even walk across monkey bars and climb walls. He also knew right from wrong, so he never did anything stupid. They're super smart, protective, loving, and loyal.

if you think they are soo bad then look up the percentage of Dobermans attacks to Pitbull atacks. you will see that Pitbulls have a higher percentage than Dobermans.
Pitbull = over 50% occur on pitbull's owner' s property.
Doberman= 5 %.

people dont get ot. i have 2 of my own. they aren;t vicous in fact they are lapdogs. My grandparent's used to have 2 but one died. So now they have 1. ITS NOT THE DOG ITS THE OWNERS. if you train a Doberman to vicious then they will. They will protect when you need them to or if they fell like you are in danger. DOBERMANS ARE NOT BAD DOGS.

Um... I agree that there are no bad dogs, just bad people who train their dogs to behave badly, but your video proves NOTHING. It's a waste of time. A dog that is perfectly friendly with its owner can still bite a stranger. I doubt that people expect Dobermans to be growling savages 24/7.

i mean..i belive you,i know few things about doberman...they were invented in Germany by a man who wanted a good dog..soo he get a security doog,a easy training dog,a loving dog,...doberman its my favorite,and i wish a have one(parents not let me...live in apartment) ...Doberman its the best dog...its good to everything :D
