En una entrevista que le hizo Rosa María Palacios, en el programa PRENSA LIBRE, Gisela Ortíz reconoció que estudiaba en la Cantuta conjuntamente con su hermano asesinado, además dijo que ella era delegada del área de mujeres en el pabellón de internado de la Universidad la Cantuta. Todos sabemos que sendero controlaba la universidad y una de las formas de controlar era nombrar a sus delegados precisamente para tener el control total de la cantuta.
