She uses a rayon and silk mix- I use silk, it works just as good. If your going to use silk, don't use any silk under 4mm. Semi circular veils also work the best (she uses semi circular veils). It's also good to have a veil with some kind of lining (it gives it direction). Hope that helps :-)

The dance is good, but I don't see the relationship between the dance and song. The song is about a miscarriage and not being able to handle the situation. The dance is not very interpretive of this. Unless I'm missing something.
I don't think it's about a miscarriage, but rather about an abortion. Note the lyric "So we slide inside of someone's mouth and someone's eyes until there's the sound of something intimate exploding." That's what I got.
as for song selection-- she was just choosing one because she COULD. When she's touring she can't, and she wanted to dance to one of her personal favorite songs, not make a statement or anything.
i guess everyone has their own interpretation of the song. To me the song is about the greater disappointment of being intimate with someone but still never leaving your world - never really getting inside. "it should have been a better thing from underneath you staring at the ceiling" which, in my mind, couldn't describe more accurately how i feel that i disappear when i spin. My escape into a world searching for intimacy and left disappointed.
Please! Someone on GOD's green Earth please tell me , how the HELL does she spin like that. She only did a little spotting but how else can you spin like that. That was so SUPERB
relax and accept the fact that you are going to get dizzy. When you are fighting getting dizzy you tense up and then it all goes down hill. If you remain relaxed it works out better. AND practice practice practice. I can spin for a good 8 to 10 minutes straight, sometimes longer. OH and do not eat a big meal before this! lol :o)

It's almost like you become aware of the earth's rotation. When I'm in the right frame of mind, when I stop I'm not dizzy. It also helps to slow before just stopping.

Ella es muy buena con el velo y asi lo demuestra en el DVD de las bellydance superstars, pero me parece que la cancion no es la apropiada para esa coreografia
Qué pena que la música le de tan poca espectacularidad, porque realmente no le pega nada, aunque ella lo hace brillante y compensa todo. Petite Jamilla es una diosa.
También se pasan un poco las del público, jeje, venga a gritar... Un poco vale, queda gracioso, pero sin abusar... creo yo.

I'm pretty sure it's chiffon...the secret is the way you cut the fabric...not as the typical vail - a rectangle - ..but with a more round shape...

silk or acrylic material-- anything light works though. Hers have metallic sequins on the edges to help them makes the shapes that they do.
