I'm having computer troubles ATM and am using a public computer so pardon my being brief.
I use the word "cult" to describe an inherently bad religious group. Islamic Fundamentalism, Nazi occultism, Scientology. Both have an "us versus them" view of the world where there is only one law - theirs.
Yes, I choose to detach myself from negative influences, but it's *me* who makes those decisions. Not a sheet of goldenrod from my church.
Correct me if you know better but I believe Ron Hubbard died not free and happy on a boat but from an overdose of a psychotropic drug administered by injection (by someone else) after several years of hiding out on a ranch somewhere. For a man who spent his life talking, writing, dictating and scheming it was odd that he left no will or any instructions for his followers.
$cientology is not merely a cult. $cientology is a criminal organization. It is a Pyramid Scheme for financial gain. How many have died because of $cientology, How many courts have indicted $cientology or members of $cientology for doing the business of $cientology. How many people has $cientology harrassed. the numbers go on and on. $cientology must be stopped. Destroy $cientology
Information transfer is pretty much the best way to destroy Scientology. Then Scientology collapses from a weak base.
It also compels inquiry into the crimes of the CoS, potentially destroying the head of the "church".

I am a Scientologist. It isn't right for you to decide that I have no right to my religion. You are trying to destroy my religion and I don't even know who you are. It is a coward who remains anonymous as he attempts to destroy something he really knows nothing about.
Its not your beliefs we oppose. Its your leadership. Its their abuse of members and financial gain. Make your Tech free, go freezone and no one will oppose your beliefs. And we are anonymous, thousands. Not a central group. So think about the fact that others are seeing something you are told you are not supposed to see. Consider if the idea of "Entheta" actually holds you partial prisoner.
The Church of Scientology is widespread and has many organizations and it takes lots of money to run an organization the size of ours. Do you know that most religious groups rely on the tithes or monthly donations of their members to operate? What organization can run on nothing?
I am happy to make valuable, the services I receive by contributing money in exchange for them. An able person can become more able simply by recognizing something worthwhile to his existence and making the effort to achieve the goal of having it for himself and others. If everything is handed to us on a silver platter where is the gain? We are happiest when we solve our problems for ourselves. We gain substance, backbone and broader vision.
I am a much better person now than when I first found Scientology. It is a lesson one must learn for himself. Unfortunately, some can't see the benefit of it. So, they criticize.
Everyone has the right to exist as they see fit, as long as they harm no others. I have not seen that current Scientology leadership has harmed anyone. Let us find our own way. You could be wrong about your cause couldn't you?
LRH Tech is a mix of valuable, helpful info, yet Scientology isnt the ONLY SOURCE. Step 1 ONLY SOURCE? Dont they seem to claim all good for you is due to them? Step 2 Commitment and loyalty. Dominate and OVERWHELM your time. google "lovebombing" Step 3 Seperate you from questioning "Entheta policy" and others. Step 4 Profit from cheap labor Your recruiting And your money directly. They are SP. When your doubt turns to understanding reach for help. It will be hard.
Why should you have to pay so much money for to your religion? Why do attack critics, lie about them? So many whys . . . practice if you like, but we are against the leadership. Your comment shows that you are the misinformed one.
As far as attacking our critics. I do not consider that "I" personally have "attacked" any critics of Scientology. I do however have the right to defend my religion and do so for the benefit of those who are not Scientologists yet. If we sat by as you misinformed people in the smear campaign du jour and didn't set the record straight, we wouldn't be very honorable people would we? We have honor and dignity. There is no honor in trying to ruin a religion.
YOU have not attacked anyone and thus Anonymous has no beef with you or what you believe. Their beef is the criminal organization that deceives everybody, and most of all its own members, dear. Go read the information out there, find out who is that entity you have given your allegiance.
You say you have honor and dignity. Do you have the honor to listen to the opposing arguments and the dignity to take the criticism without resorting to underhanded attacks?
"Go read the information out there", you say. If you know anything at all about Scientologists, you know we are very discerning about what sources of information we trust to be truthful. Very discerning! What I know about Freezoners is that they have no form of Ethics in their organization to keep the "Outethics" in check. The Freezoners I know personally are not the kind of people I want to associate with. Not to mention the possible alteration of tech in their organization.
Yes, actually I have, and those who tried to use tech against my mission staff ended up leaving the church in a huff because they were very outethics. They are now Freezoners. Good riddance!
Not a Scientologist, but as someone who has had personal experience with cults going back to age 5 I can easily identify Scientology as one. And as far as my personal religious beliefs go, I am a Discordian. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, you're free to answer to me the following: What are your crimes?

About disconnection:
Well, sometimes there are people in this world who mean us harm. Put us in bad situations. Why do we have to stay connected to them, even if they happen to be family.
Do you think it's a good thing to make an abused child stay with its parents just because they are his parents. That's when disconnection is a good thing, don't you think? Why in the world would you think that Scientologists disconnect from anyone but those who do harm?

I understand your opinion about cults, but could you answer my question about your lifetime association with cults? Were they the good kind or the bad kind?
Do you like having to stay associated with people who would involve you in something you think is bad? You obviously disagree with the cults you were forced to be involved in.
"If you know anything at all about Scientologists, you know we are very discerning about what sources of information we trust to be truthful. Very discerning!"
You're trained to only trust one source. A supression of discourse is the hallmark of authoritarianism. And that's why Scientology is a cult.
The freedom of information will help change the highly disputed factors of your church. It will be better and the critical thought will go away. Its happened in the past.
I dont think everyone needs saving, but it sure isnt going to change from within without outside influence.
And as no other church enjoys your tax status aspects I dont expect it to be able to run the same ever again.
Do you use professional accounting practices? Audits?
I am trying to get an answer to my question. You seem to be trying to get power by not answering me. I am only interested in whether you finished the course.
I don't know why that is so hard. Simple question. Simple answer.
Another tactic would be to simply say you dont understand why offering information is so unwanted.
After everyone needs to answer all your questions all the time. Their choice for privacy on any issue is only a sign that they have a large amount of engrams to deal with.
FAIL
You will have to change topic.
I still think of you as rational.
If there is some other topic you want to speak of let me know.
I only wanted to know if you are as informed as you want everyone to think you are. If you had actually completed some Scientology course, you would have much more credibility in your arguments. But, I guess we will never know.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You don't have a clue what Scientology really is about. I asked the question because I am interested.
I love you and I hope you realize that I am one of the best friends you could have. If you really could see through me, you wouldn't say nasty things to me.
Listening is one of the things I pride myself on being very good at, as do most Scientologists.
ArealScientologist -- with much respect to you and your honest intentions, it's also not right for you to promote an organization which has persecuted general citizens of this and other societies. You can't defend something YOU really know nothing about. What you know is pretty limited, because you have only ONE source of information, whereas we have many, documented, certified, proven sources. If the ideology works for you, go to the Freezone. But CoS must reform radically or disband.
What he means is he sounds like a scientologist trying to make anonymous appear, for lack of better terms, like them. Brutish, Thuggish, mean-spirited, and fanatic.
Agreed sir. I find it odd that people still continue to try to pose as anonymous when their efforts are met with floods of denouncement from anonymous. I thought the OSA was more clever than that.
Follow the many, not the one. He who works outside the cohesive machine is not an Anonymous. He is a one. We follow the many, the Anonymous. Not the one.
I'm a christian and I support anonymous, I'm religious.

ArealScientologist 4 years ago
Outethics, aka not in like with the RTC's definition of ethics.

DatsumJB,
Did you ever consider yourself to be a Scientologist?
ArealScientologist 4 years ago
Not a Scientologist, but as someone who has had personal experience with cults going back to age 5 I can easily identify Scientology as one. And as far as my personal religious beliefs go, I am a Discordian. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, you're free to answer to me the following: What are your crimes?
DatsumJB 4 years ago
Sorry I missed your post DatsumJB. Thank you for answering so eloquently. So, you have been involved with cults most of your life?
Were they good cults or bad cults?
You know, there are several definitions.
ArealScientologist 4 years ago
I consider any cult that supports disconnection (as Scientology does as of 2008) to be inherently bad.

ArealScientologist 4 years ago
"If you know anything at all about Scientologists, you know we are very discerning about what sources of information we trust to be truthful. Very discerning!"
You're trained to only trust one source. A supression of discourse is the hallmark of authoritarianism. And that's why Scientology is a cult.

People must REMAIN FREE to have CRITICAL THOUGHT, or they are simple being held within a prison of the mind.
DescartesActivist 4 years ago 2
Yes, people must remain free to have critical thought, not ONLY CRITICAL THOUGHTS!!
If you have too many critical thoughts you are imprisoned by your own mind!! That's what we've been trying to tell you!!
ArealScientologist 4 years ago
The freedom of information will help change the highly disputed factors of your church. It will be better and the critical thought will go away. Its happened in the past.
I dont think everyone needs saving, but it sure isnt going to change from within without outside influence.
And as no other church enjoys your tax status aspects I dont expect it to be able to run the same ever again.
Do you use professional accounting practices? Audits?

Did you finish your Scientology
Communication Course???????
ArealScientologist 4 years ago
Isnt one of the drills how to not answer a question? Thats an interesting drill.
Seems like teaching people to be evasive could be helpful to someone wanting to maintain control.
DescartesActivist 4 years ago 2
DescartesActivist
So, you couldn't finish the Communication Course?
ArealScientologist 4 years ago
An example of another tactic would be to use the persons need for pride to gain information.
For instance, say something like... "You couldnt finish the course?" Or "You couldnt make it work?"
It implies the person as being incapable and provides you with power in the exchange.
Its a subtle and somewhat effective attack.
Please see your policy manual for more.
DescartesActivist 4 years ago 2
DescartesActivist
I am trying to get an answer to my question. You seem to be trying to get power by not answering me. I am only interested in whether you finished the course.
I don't know why that is so hard. Simple question. Simple answer.
ArealScientologist 4 years ago
Another tactic would be to simply say you dont understand why offering information is so unwanted.
After everyone needs to answer all your questions all the time. Their choice for privacy on any issue is only a sign that they have a large amount of engrams to deal with.
FAIL
You will have to change topic.
I still think of you as rational.
If there is some other topic you want to speak of let me know.
DescartesActivist 4 years ago
DescartesActivist
I only wanted to know if you are as informed as you want everyone to think you are. If you had actually completed some Scientology course, you would have much more credibility in your arguments. But, I guess we will never know.
*
ArealScientologist 4 years ago
Your well trained, and probably train well.
But people will read our exchange and understand.
Your last tactic includes bullbaiting.
A snyde comment meant to discredit the critic possibly to insight anger.
And dead-agenting, providing a reason for pause so an audience will move on to another less intrusive line of thought.
You're a sales organization.
And besides, you have better things to do.
DescartesActivist 4 years ago
Why don't you tell why you ask that question?
we see right through you; you ask this because you are trained to do so, not because you want to listen to the answer.

ArealScientologist 4 years ago
You only answered a question with a question. This isn't an improv comedy game. Obvious bullbaiting is obvious.
twistedpuppet 4 years ago 2
I believe in your statement because it still has rational concepts. You havent reached a level yet where they are abusing you.
But as you look you will start to see that the organization of your choice needs major reform.
DescartesActivist 4 years ago
By the way, I am giving you a thumbs up for every rational post you place. I think its important you know that we support the rational people here.
This isnt a lynch of the people.
Its a protest against the proven destructive issues of the way its currently formed.
Thank you for participating.

rrhyne56 4 years ago
Am I Catholic? I was baptised. A Scientologist? I took a communications course.
Psychiatry isnt all good, but is it ALL evil?
This particular method of organization is designed to hold you with your own self-praise
KR's on everything lends to abuse, gives others power over you.
Especially inventing fictional OT
All the goodness/reality ends at "clear"
After that its just group and self delusion ran by a few from the top.
LRH built Tech, but injected it with a psyche trap.
DescartesActivist 4 years ago 2
The difference between Psychiatry and Scientology is Psychiatry is open to (and, like all valid science, survives on) criticism.
I can study psychiatry without becoming a psych and come up with a reasonable argument in favour of or in opposition to it.
I can study Catholicism without becoming a Catholic (though I was) and come up with a reasonable argument in favour of or in opposition to it.
I can study Scientology, but I have to be a Scientologist and not criticise anything or be punished.
DatsumJB 4 years ago
ArealScientologist -- with much respect to you and your honest intentions, it's also not right for you to promote an organization which has persecuted general citizens of this and other societies. You can't defend something YOU really know nothing about. What you know is pretty limited, because you have only ONE source of information, whereas we have many, documented, certified, proven sources. If the ideology works for you, go to the Freezone. But CoS must reform radically or disband.
