I really like this mix. The lack of the main theme is something I only really noticed in retrospect since the direction you took it was so complimentary to the vocals. There's a lot of energy and momentum to this song... rather thematically appropriate!

How much of the instrumentals did you write/perform yourself? My inclination is thing most or all of it... while it's stylistic spot on, I'm pretty sure I've never those tunes in any of the official songs!

Thanks a lot! I didn't actually like that main theme all that much - I thought the vocal would benefit from something a bit darker - it was a bit poppy and happy for me...

I'm trying to think back about what I did that was new, and what I used from the remix pack...

ALL of the vocals and "ahhhs" are from the remix pack. I think literally everything else was me.

I figured as much. It works gloriously... I'm definitly a fan of the darker take you've made here. I've got to disagree with you about the main theme, though... it's a beautiful melody. I do really like the way those 8 notes play together. :)

This is a really good mix. What do you use? Logic, Cubase, Reason? The only real beef I have with this remix is the placement of vocals. Instead of coming in on the off beat of the previous bar, they come in on the first beat. I just think it kind of upsets the original onset of the vocals. It makes the vocals sound out of sync at times. I love the electric piano that plays at regular intervals at the start. Subtle, yet, atmospheric. Keep it up mate.

Even though I get your poing, I have a different opinion. I love the contrast between the original song, a calm song, and the game which is very fast paced. I think they complement each other really well.

But I must say that for listening only (not listening while playing ) I prefer this version; because it is faster, it reminds me of how I felt "alive" while playing the game. :)

I believe this is the only track with Lisa's vocal - someone correct me if I'm wrong. Most of the incidental music was done by an artist by the name of Solar Fields - you should check him out.

Excellent job my friend, good custom melodys, excellent synths, from 6:30 on, i wish you would have did a 2nd larger climb, because it has me ready to dance. As for the offbeat lyrics, they really arnt. I do beleive he just started the lyrics are only off beat when she sings the 2nd verse of the ur chorus piece. Making the dancing a little bit different if your a dancer. Different in a good funky kind of way.

I like it but it feels washed out... aimless. Not horrible but it left me cold like it was getting somewhere but the road ended before the trip was over. You had me in the middle, that was a great back build but lost me again. Could be awesome.
