It seems the chinese didn't want there plans publicly aired so blatantly so the Chinese were cast in a supporting role of North Korea's invasion of America. This continues to push back the release date of the film as some parts of the script needed to be rewritten, re-shot, and the entire movie has to be gone over frame by frame to remove, change and or delete Chinese things.

@flubber342 They did remake the original Red Dawn, but it has not been released yet due to script approvel changes. It seems the chinese didn't want there plans publicly aired so blatantly so the Chinese were cast in a supporting role of North Korea's invasion of America. This continues to push back the release date of the film as some parts of the script needed to be rewritten, re-shot, and the entire movie has to be gone over frame by frame to remove, change and or delete Chinese things.
