  • in the expansion you cant fly a ship

  • i dont get it

  • @beachballsonic Me neither.

  • De-Evolution?

    Sounds scary.

  • @roman11777 He's the villain in the story.

  • there's a mark where a city used to be. You killed it's inhabitants, and gave the non-sentient beings left over a monolith.

  • @LewaElite P sure I would have remembered that.

  • @NodDisciple spore expansion is good but a hell load of money!

  • I always abduct them :D

  • If you listen closely around 0:20 you can hear Ganon saying IT BURNS! in the background.

  • @WeegeeBen >:V

    Thanks a lot.

  • @coraclebirdboat I might get back into Spore. Haven't played it for a while. X-/ I failed at the beginning of space, got zerged while I was still small, it made me sad. :( How is the Space Adventures expansion btw? :? Any other expansions planned? :?

  • @NodDisciple1 I've no clue. I never got the expansion.

  • uh.... what the. never had that happen before.

BUT I did see a civilization planet with one of my spice storage buildings there even though I've never been to that planet.

  • the first tribe which use technology xD

  • not unnormal

  • @JegHederKasper LUCKY! :D

  • It means that there was once an advanced civilisation on that planet but they died and new species are gaining intellegence. :D

  • no its normal when i hsaw a civilization stage planet ( i was in space ) and used something and came back later and found they went down the tribal it was an item idk what though

  • Oh wow, what are you running the game on?

On my computer it looks like crap. I don't even get ripples near the water. :c

  • @mouse264

I think it was maxed everything.

    Maxis!

    hahahahahahhahahahnoiamsosorry

  • @coraclebirdboat Pffffhahaa.

  • its normal its part of a secret theres a quest thhat tells you to go to a place FILLED to the brim with tibe peaple everywhere

  • PWNT

  • You can De-evolve them all you have to do is go to a civ-stage and destroy them and eventually another species will take the planet in and be in tribal(only if you didn't kill them off then conquer the planet, Sometimes i think they can come back but in the tribal stage instead). They can even end up all the way back in creature stage.

  • Comment removed

  • I know how to do this intentionally. You can just destroy all the cities on a civilized planet and then place a monolith on it. Simple as that. Then, when the creatures evolve back to civ, they won't have to build any deriks! XD

  • I'd try somthing a bit more sisister if I found them (NOT A GENISADE) & had realy cool stuff like what you have

  • If its somthing that can be caused by others I'll find it & then.....

..... you beater finde somthing to bargin with unless you want to be prehistoric

  • ... what.

  • I'd de-evolve the moust tecnolagicly advanced creatcher & take thare tec.

  • I'm pretty sure this is either a bug or a result of stealing from them constantly.

  • lol that hapened to me

i destroyed all citiz (sorry for bad inglish)

the put monolit when they evolutionated to tribe stage the planet was full of modern things

  • In tribal stage I was raided and they attacked/killed my pet so I got mad and went to destroy their main hut. I did and somehow I found them about 10 minutes later as normal tribless creatures!

  • I guess it might've also been a previous evolutionary stage of the creature?

I keep running into eariler versions of my own race on different planets, it is so messed up.

  • @coraclebirdboat

same. lol i even saw an earlier versions of my race ON MY HOME PLANET. of course i did what any normal person would do, i lazored them :)

  • @martha368 Well, there are earlier versions of our race on our home planet, the Earth. They are called monkeys. I wouldn't lazor 'em :>

  • @coraclebirdboat tell me that i got 10 differnt civs on the same planet YET THEIR STILL THE SAME OF MY RACE

  • @kiss878 i dint mean the same planet differnt planets that i never colonized

  • that was teh work of a supreme scientist adventurer, their spec ability turns planets back down to tribal or creature

amazing rly( zealot can convert a whole planet 2 ur control with a click of a button!)

  • That has happened to me before too.

  • At least I'm clearly not crazy then!

  • @coraclebirdboat: Well there's no reason to be mad about it.

  • We're all a little mad here. I'm mad, you're mad. Otherwise you wouldn't have come here.

  • I've had this happen a few times, I basically have had a few "failed" uplifts, where the resulting uplift race was not to my liking, so either eliminate them , or set them back badly so their civilization will collapse.

Less than 3 cities and it eventually will collapse, and sometimes derricks and other artifacts from the original civilization (including spice) will remain until they either re-develop their technology or collapse completely back to a pre-tribal state - which I've also seen.

  • Oooooh! Well, there's the explanation for it then. That's actually pretty cool. It's terrible that Spore so rarely does something exciting like that that I mistake it for a bug when it actually does something interesting.

  • I find it funny that your going around in a bird shaped ship. Imagine if humans had the same line of thought? "Houston, this is big naked man in the sky, requesting permission to orbit"

  • Well, I'm sure the time people get the technology to make mechs, they'll be stomping around in human-shaped craft!

Besides, the caterwairy worship wings as the true symbol of intelligence. Why wouldn't their ships have them!

  • You could have used that scientist super weapon called gravitation wave to set them back to the creature stage and then give them that expensive advance thing called the monolith and they will go back to tribal.... Is that what you did?

  • Nope. Not sure what archetype the caterwairy are... I think Diplomat, but then converted to Zealotry.

  • I don't think it's a bug I heard it happens when the game decides another tribe should be made so it changes a civ to a tribe. Something to do with the randomizer and it's logic pattern. :S

  • Odd It Happened To Me Too!

  • : O

    Devolution beam >: O

  • This has happened to me several times as well. I'm not sure what it is, though it IS kinda funny...

  • it's a bug!

  • I GOT IT! they ran out of money b cause you were stealnig there spices. so this is what happened when you run out of money :) (JUST A THEROY!)

  • That... might actually be a plausible theory, even if just as a way to justify a bug!

  • no, this is a glitch. my guys stood there stealing spices whenever a box appeared. so, no it didn't happen then. it's a bug!

  • I still like the justification. It makes it more fun than just saying the game is fuzzing up.

  • Perhaps they were just so daft that they had forgotten how to operate their equipment, thus were sent back into tribl stage to learn it again. However, they were so daft as to forget their spice collecters and leave the mess behind.

  • perhaps they're true cities lie buried underground along with their spice to hide it from you? probably not, but then again there's not many other theories

  • How rude >: I I am glad that my allies ended up conquering their butts.

  • it's pretty rude too that you were stealing spice from them in the first place >:(

  • lol i found the video!

i didn't have this in mind when I made the tamaranian hoppers. 0_0

this wasn't supposed to happen! (then again i didn't exactly plan to create crazy zealots either)

  • Wtf? is these things happening to everyone but me?and why doesn't my spore have graphics of the water spray like this?

  • Are your graphical settings all at the highest?

And I don't know if you want this to happen; it's a curious bug, but it means those spice geysers aren't being used anymore, and that means I can't STEAL from them.

    theef theef theef

  • on my spore space stage, a civilization on the planet Indas had de-evoled back to tribes, then they vanished after some time, it's like they were reverted back to creature stage.

  • uhhhh....they had a party and creatures they didnt invite came and stole there stuff? XD any ways i had this happen to me too except they were in space stage(MY SAVE FILE WTF) and then boom they were back to civilization i whent back to my file and i teleported to cretur stage with a random creatur!....sadly i didnt have my creature saved and i had to start all over again.....nevr played that one sisnce but i bought a new one!

  • Is this the expansion pack?

  • No XD This is a bug.

  • No, this was clearly the same planet--the same species was there, and they popped back into Civ stage later on.

Anyway, you can see they still have Civ stage spice geysers... very weird.

  • 0_0

  • Yea. I created them. (sigh) they have disapointed me big time. First they become zealots (i hate zealots, like all spore players) and now this!

  • Im new to space stage and whatever, SO WHAT ARE ZEALOTS!

  • Zealot is an Archetype like Knight or Diplomat. Zealots worship Spode and are pretty much the most aggressive space archetype.

  • thats the strangest thing i've seen with spore.....

  • What's strange is that they went back and forth between this and Civ several times... then another Empire genocided them and took the system. I've never even seen another empire take a pre-Space system : O

  • Yea! i didn't exactly plan for this to happen when i made them

  • The romans took over then wen they left everyone went bak in toa spore like darkages :|

  • Yeah you can make people go down a stage easily especially if you're in space stage. I do it all the time. If there is a T3 planet i want but there is a civilization on it i just destroy every city.

  • That usually extincts the species, though, not knocks them back down to tribal...

  • Then there could have been a fight with all the cities and made them jump back to tribal. Even if it does sound far fetched.

  • They went back to Civ later, too... I don't know. I'm thinking it's a bug, but that's too boring an explanation : (

Man, to/too has so many uses.

  • they were over run by epics and destroyed them all by using thier cities as bait and blew them up with gigantic bombs

  • They went back to civ a few RL days later, too. I saw this happen with another Civ race as well, and then my ally took the planet. I've never seen another race conquer an inhabited Civ system before, so that was pretty exciting.

  • now thats just odd....

  • Yeah D: I can't figure out if it's a bug or something I caused, or what. I'm curious if there's some way to reproduce it reliably. I don't really know how that'd be useful at all, but it'd still be a nice option to have.
