This is my first experience of Traubel as Sieglinde--I'm more used to her Brunnhilde. She doesn't have the incredible spontaneity, originality, or nuances of Lehmann ...but then again who else did? Nonetheless she is now second on my list. Melchior is simply Melchior, and to quote Myles na gCopaleeen,"his likes will not be there again".
I have always admired Helen Traubel, and especially this performance, which I have on cd. Her singing is magnificent. The one word which comes to mind is: searing.
Superb. The stars were shining that wonderful night. TY vstasov for posting this gem.

Listen at 3:18. If there were only Wagnerian sopranos like her today. Melchior was fantastic as well. What a great voice he had!
