I really like your video except that you kinda misunderstood Thai history. I'm sure your intention is good. Those buildings are a mixture between Western and Thai Architecture because they king and the princes went to many Western countries and came to like this style. It wasn't to conform to the Western countries and it has nothing to do with colonization as this happened long before that era. Hence we were also not technically colonized by other nations. Anyways, thanks for the video!

You should really correct your naration. i'm sure you're well intended, but western white guilt has crept in and dishonors both the Thai people and western governments. Rama IV and V did a lot of intelligent work with foreign governments to not only keep thailand free and independant, but to modernize it. To belittle any of those parties is ignorant and not everyone will read all the corrections posted here - you will increase misunderstanding as a result

Maybe, you have misunderstood about Thai history. We have a western building it's because The Thailand King has sent many princes for studying in Europe for a long time BEFORE colonial time. when they came back they built many palaces which is a western style. As you can see ,some architecture are the combination between Thai and Western. Please keep in your mind that we ARE NEVER BELONG TO ANY WESTERN COUNTRY !!!

To correct the narrator I would have to say that both Siam and Japan willingly imported western architecture and infrastructure and governmental institutions as fast as possible to catch up to the west. The narrator tried her best but had minor flaws.

Muaythai4ko if read what I wrote, you'd note that I was trying to correct the narrator, YES BOTH SIAM AND JAPAN modernized along western lines quickly but not to prevent colonization. G.Britan/France wanted Siam to be a buffer between them, Japan did not need to be colonized because the Western powers already exploited China. However in the 1890s Siam suffered territory loss to France.
