Although with it's base performance numbers, he could easily be competitive if Falken Racing applied the same blower to the lastest version of Ford's V6 (305HP in bone-stock form, equal to a Subaru STi or an Evo IX MR). With boost, that engine could easily produce numbers in excess of 425HP to the wheels. That's just good math!

If people want a Prius, they'll buy a Prius. The reason the MR2 and MR-S were such great cars (aside from the mid engine) is that they were light. A hybrid system would just add a lot of weight that isn't really necessary anyway, since it's just a little 4 cylinder car (and gets decent mileage) to begin with.
