I mistakenly made a comment criticizing those who were restraining this lady, but when reviewing the video again I realized that the problem was that she was unnecessarily restrained this way because the jail psychiatrists improperly medicated her. If she was medicated properly she would not have been out of control and all this waste of manpower and time to restrain her this way would have been unnecessary.

I really do think you have some issues. In every job you have a few who taint the entire service. I was a Royal Marine before I joined the prison service. Prisons in Europe are run very differently than in the US. Your generalization of all prison officers/guards is very single minded. I had been shooting long range since age 8 and joined the military. I have fired expert with every weapon I have been ordered to qualify with in two branches of military service so far.
The guards in prison arent armed, they go to their own academy. The only armed post in prison is a guard tower with a set kill zone (escapees).

By the way, the mental hospital do what jail do when patients become violent or non compliant. The jails and the hospitals both have mental health staff. The same credentials are expected specialists to work in both types of facility. You have never been to my country but you claim to be an expert on our services? This is what happens in jail. It's an everyday deal if a person becomes unruly or non compliant. If this person attempts to harm herself or others, then it's the facility's obligation to protect staff and herself from herself. It's as easy as that. In some cases, it can result in causing certain people to become irritable and short of patience because the bs seems to never end. With that said, these officers acted entirely appropriately. This video provides no evidence of misconduct.

I mistakenly made a comment criticizing those who were restraining this lady, but when reviewing the video again I realized that the problem was that she was unnecessarily restrained this way because the jail psychiatrists improperly medicated her. If she was medicated properly she would not have been out of control and all this waste of manpower and time to restrain her this way would have been unnecessary.

Prisons in Europe are run very differently than in the US. Your generalization of all prison officers/guards is very single minded. I dont think anyone ever sets out to be a prison officer but sometimes thats just the way things work out. I very rarely have problems with any prisoner and I know I'm good at what I do

@zooyork3502 It's not a crime to throw a cigarette. It may be a violation of a local ordinance or state litter law to throw a cigarette on the street or a sidewalk. If someone wants to throw their cigarette butts on their own private property or that of someone else with their consent...that is not a crime. The reason for the laws prohibiting that in public places is to prevent littering. People throw cigarette butts out the windows of their vehicles all the time. Rarely is that law enforced.

@sketchin315 You complain about the way she is treated and its hard to breath while hand cuffed, yes this girl is clearly mentally ill and has to be hospitalised so she is an exception, but if the inmates just behaved themselves and didn't cause any problems they wouldn't need to be handcuffed, locked in a restraint chair or held down by multiple guards. Suprisingly enough, all law enforcement officers arent corrupt and most of them do their job properly. Its the few that make the rest look bad.

@john17972 Basically what your saying, if someone is having suicidal thoughts, don't tell anybody. Not telling someone is about the worst thing you can do as theres people TRAINED to help get those thoughts out of there, so sure you may be restrained ocasionally but provided you don't act in a dangerous way, you'll just have to go to a psychiatrist occasionally, and you'll feel much better.

Not to mention the amount of ignorant comments made against police officers. They're doing this for her own safety and if someone doesn't do this job, who would?
