I don't see how they should agree with it just because they are gay. The little boy is 5 years old. They are GROWN MEN. No where did the parents mention the little boys sexual preference, only his dresses. His parents are allowing him to wear a dress. He can't buy his own clothes. They are not being good parents. When he is of age, he can do what he wants. They are crippling him.
Not surprised by the closed-minded sentiments on gender expression from these two gay guys, cisgendered-gay people are some of the most transphobic people out there...
Dudes like the first to say " when you can buy your own shit, then you can have it". That would've bought at least five to ten more years without that conversation.
About the christian room mate thing...... she could have said "christians very welcome!" and not "christians only" or whatever... and dismiss those who aint christian enough for her... would have saved her a lot of trouble.... sad that she cant be herself and ask for what she wants....
im not christian but i understand where she is coming from.
Now with the woman who wants a Christian room mate I see no problem with. Christians are supposed to want to be around other Christians( But at the same time they should be willing to interact with people who are not like them) I can understand living under one roof with someone who disagrees with you can be horrible. The Christian may not be in to alcohol and things of that nature, that could be a problem when the room mate wants to throw a party with alcohol.
As far as the child goes, no he should not be wearing girls clothes at his age. Like they said in the video kids are nasty and cruel. Look at the news and all you see is KIDS killing themselves cuz of bullying. Right now he's preschool age, but when he begins grade school that will not be allowed!!! When he becomes an adult and can buy his own clothes, that's on him. That's whats wrong with kids these days parents if push overs. WHOEVER MAKES THE MONEY IS THE ONE THAT MAKE DECISIONS!!!!!!!!
@MsNanaloves And you think that suppressing one's true nature in the fear of bullies makes it any better? The parents are doing the right thing by helping to normalize LGBT kids so that society will not marginalize LGBT. What you propose simply makes the problem worse because the LGBT people have to go through the psychological troubles of being closeted and bullying would be even worse because LGBT would be even more marginalized.
I AGREE WITH U BOTH ON THE PRINCESS BOY SHOULD NOT BE WEARING GIRL CLOTHING @ SUCH A YOUNG AGE, IF THAT IS WHAT HE WANT TO DO WHEN HE GETS OF AGE THEN THAT'S ON HIM, BUT NOT AS SUCH A YOUNG CHILD. HE PROBABLY DO FEEL THAT THIS IS WHAT HE WANTS TO DO @ AN EARLY AGE BUT HE REALLY DNT KNOW & ONCE HE GETS OLDER THEN HE CAN IDENTIFY WITH THAT!!!!!
I don't think either of you "should be able to identify" because being gay is different from being gender variant. I myself am a transgender woman spent many years in the gay community and even doing DRAG shows when I was in my 20's but I always knew this was not me. I started transition at 28, but I'll tell you this I wished I had had more acceptance from my mother and family when I was a child as all the signs where there. ... will continue in the next post
@LindsayStone ...continued... but because I didn't have that acceptance it ate at me and I went down a long path of drugs, and did a lot of bad things. At 5 years old I actually hung myself from a tree with the water hose that I swung from in my grandmothers yard, because I knew how I felt was seen as wrong. This was not my last attempt either. So speaking from a much closer perspective I thing some freedoms should be given.
You guys reinforcing gender stereotypes is really helping. But then from other vids It's obvious that the one with the beanie is transphobic. And you don't have to wear womens clothing to identify with people who are discriminated against. I'm sure you wouldn't think twice about letting a girl wear boys clothes.
If a boy only wants girl things and does not feel or does not want to do anything other "normal" boys want and is unhappy about that then its okay to let him express his emotions through clothing and toys etc .etc.
In a way ya'll are wrong, there's nothing wrong with parents letting their kids express how they are. this is borderline to being judge mental, and it also proves that it's how some people are and not their choice.
In a way ya'll are wrong, there's nothing wrong with parents letting their kids express how they are. this is borderline to being judgemental, and it also proves that it's how some people are and not their choice.
u r closed minded... how if ur parents told u u can’t be gay... u sound soooo dum....unbelievable...he is not ur child u cant tell someone how to raised their child...
But it is just clothes!!!! You might as well say to someone don't eat fried chicken because that is black people food... That statement is so ignorant!!! Im' sure the parent know that but if it makes the kid happy let him be happy and as he gets older and sees that it is not socially acceptable for him to wear whatever the hell he wants to wear and has to be restricted and put in a category etc.... then he can decide for himself what is more suitible.
These guys were spot on concerning the "princess boy." The parents are opening up their kid to all kinds of ridicule which will harm him emotionally much more than not allowing him to do everything he wants. He should be thoroughly confused by the age of 18, if he makes it that far and doesn't jump off a bridge first.
If I had a boy/girl who says "Can I wear this?" referring to an article of clothing of the opposite sex, I'd say "Well, Lets try this(referring to an article clothing of their sex), "and then come back to this." If they still want it, then I'll get it. I want my child to express themselves. I don't want to push them to choose something they dont want, if its something like clothing. I feel like its more damaging to a child, if a parent suppresses who they potentially are, than being made fun of.
@hattersuffa If girls can wear pants, than boys should be allowed to wear skirts. There was a point in time where it was acceptable. Why dont we just go back to that? If a straight guy likes wearing skirts, but can't seem to find a girl who finds him attractive in that, then he can change for those girls. However, it's probably best to find a girl who would find him attractive in what he wears and doesn't care. Btw, hairy legs and dresses don't go. Please shave them legs, if that's the case.
@hattersuffa You are wrong on so many levels. When I was five I wanted to burn everything with matches. Should my parents have encouraged me to do so, and not "upset" my delicate emotional balance?
@lizard944 I did make sure, before I posted that comment, that I was careful with my words. Atleast, for the most part, because there's not a lot of words you can fit into a youtube comment. When it comes to clothing, I'm not going to restrict my child from what they'd like to wear. Burning matches is in a whole different level. Burning matches is more dangerous than crossdressing.(Which i think is a silly term, but just for the sake of the convo, ill use it.)
I would talk to him about it first and I would try to make him wear boys clothes but i could see that it was really upsetting him to the point where he was depressed all the time. Then I would let him wear dresses around the house but i wouldnt let him go outside like that until he was old enough to understand how society will look at him. And i think you should be more open minded about this. what if your parents sat you down and said you cant be gay as long as youre living in my house...
it is about "acceptance" letting a person be happy HOWEVER they want to dress, wear their hair, and express their comfort and identity. And you should identify with the struggle for acceptance, not necessarily specifically how he wants to represent himself. You two are the first time I was genuinely disappointed in a gay person. Usually they are especially understanding and accepting. How sad.
The mother encourages this behavior because she doesn't have a daughter. The father ought to be ashamed of himself. He's less than a man to me, to allow his wife to dominate this issue. I believe in letting your child/ren express themselves, but not with issues that may impact their future well-being and/or self-esteem. Their going to messed up if that boy turns out to be gay. One day their going to come home and find him in bed with a another man. Princess boy?? This is ridiculous!
You two clearly have feminate qualities ..... and i'm DEFINATLY sure both of you had didn't start being feminate when you were 18 or when you parents stopped taking care of you
@Maticallo THANK YOU! Best comment of all time, everyone else is irrelevant at this point. This is the bottom line of their argument or lack thereof. Lmao
The whole point was the mom tried to stifle the boy's desires. The little boy was completely miserable and probably cried. The teenage son was the one that was like "Mom why won't you let him be happy." That was the turning point. I agree that parents should be parents, but there is a difference between being the boss in the house and literally making your kid miserable trying to fit into a box they don't fit into.
Also sexuality and gender are two separate things.
Clothes don't make or tell you who a person is. Please do something better with your life then critizing that child and his parents. And do your research before you do your videos please.
@FoxboyTheWereFox Yes clothes do tell you about the person. You know a cop when you see one.Or a doctor or a priest in robes. You give them respect & authority. You can't go to a job interview dressed like a bum. What you wear is what tells us about you.The mother put this issue out there so people have the right to comment.
@bluebelle181 anyone can by a cop outfit and go to your door and rob you, any quack can say he has a licence and a doctors rodbe and steal you kidney. A man who dresses nicely can be a con artist. A college proffesor at my friends school dresses in all black has her intire face pearced has tattoos everywhere and has a mohalk and she has a phd in phycology? It is ignorante to judge on peoples clothing. You give respect to everyone not just people who dress nice, that is prejudce. if you don't.
@FoxboyTheWereFox You're right. But people as a whole are prejudgmental. You see a person on the outside before you get to know who they are about. It's up to the individual to get to know the person. And at the same time, how you dress reflects you.In the case of the little boy, he's too young to choose what he wants to wear. His mother allows it. Keeping a child happy does not mean you should let him do whatever he wants. You have to teach discipline to prepare the kid for the real world.
He said he want's to be a princess, he didn't say he wants to be a girl. He want to dress with what he likes. I would if thats how they feel. And another thing, you forgot what that little boy said, he said "the people that make fun of me are not my friends". So its ok if its halloween? You two are rude. He never said he was gay, you guys are very ignorante. Yes we are all differnt but you should consider that little boys feelings instead if your own.
im upset you apoligized???? he needs help no and ifs or butts with two tt's, he needs HELP, and ontop of that this video kept freezing at 16:26 and i couldnt finish it.so i am upset!!
Its just clothing who cares what you wear if your not buying someones clothes its none of your business, fashion shouldn't be taken so seriously. Should guys only wear suits and hats and girls in dresses and heals? Come on it's America
I think regarding the christian roommate is a matter of "lifestyle" as opposed to preferences. Dating a certain type of person, eating a certain kind of food, or liking a blond or brunette is a matter of preference. Now religion is more a matter of lifestyle. Especially if you are a practicing one. Different lifestyles or different preferences either one should be respected.
@Bak3dB3an First off shuttup. Makael was basically saying when he made that comment that as a parent you are responsible for making decisions that your child is not capable of,especially when it is of best interest for the child??Some prime ex maybe when your parents say "Don't watch the game on bet its not for your age?" But yet you as an adult watch that very same show. They're not leading by example but yet their holding the childs interest at heart. Example is not alwys the best way to lead
living with someone and dating preferences are totally different. If someone is a christian, y would u want someone in ur house with buddha statues around? with the race dating issue, then if someone only prefers someone of their OWN race then that is cool, BUT if someone prefers dating something outside their race, then thats just aint right!
i didnt think m. needed to apologize about the whole princess boy thing...a man is a man and a woman is a woman, no matter their sexuality...wen u got ppl running around like Lawrence from RHOA then something is wrong. i think if ur brought into the world as a man u need to look like a man God put u in a mans/womans body to experience the world as that. Glad we got all these new technologies but damn, ppl taking it OVERBOARD wit the sex change!!!! my goodness
I dont think he knows what GAY IS or what STRAIGHT is so they should limit it to the house only playing only.... I totally agree with this video....but i feel like whatever makes him comfortable
Some parents believe in non-conformity and freedom of expression. There are people who are dead set against "gender roles" and I understand that but the reality is, there are certain societal roles placed on boys and girls. It's okay to love your child for who he or she is, but you have to prepare them for the rejection that they are guaranteed to receive. no parent wants their young young child to go through it so most make their child conform. As they should.
@demetriusravenclaw Its psychological regardless of age, if you are born a certain way thats how you were suppose to be, so if a person is unhappy with themselves for any reason including gender it is in their mind. Secondly, a child as young as two have very little if any concept of gender differences, so they would not be able conceptualize any gender identity issue until later on in their life.
This comment is in reference to the men who dress like woman and are offended when they are told they cannot dress they way they want in certain situations. First off clothes do not define a person, they are a way some people express themselves, but to make it a big issues just to be defiant is unneccessary.
@demetriusravenclaw How are you born the wrong sex how ever you are born thats the way your suppose to be regardless of if you like it. Thats just like saying I was born the wrong color. I believe people need to understand that its psychological.
yes, i agree with both of yall with the boys not wearing girl clothes. with the apartment thing, i don't think there is anything wrong with wanting a certain religion roomate because sum ppl hold their religion very high. they wouldnt want to get confrontational & having crosses everywhere where a Jew may live
I Think when it comes to choosing roommates, when you require that roommate to be a certain race or religion it becomes more controversial than when you require them to be clean, or non a smoker for example.
Now, I just wanted to touch on the school code because I have plenty of tattoos and I have NO problem covering them because it's important that a professional environment stays professional. I do what I choose to do in my personal life. But, I know when I come to a more professional environment I will cover them. But, when I'm living my life, I have every right to be me. It's not that I'm assumed or regard getting them, I know that there is a give and take to every situation...compromise is key.
I totally agree if it is your own apartment - you must have the final say - THE ONE RIGHT THAT EVERY SHOULD HAVE IS THE RIGHT - TO DECIDE WHO YOU HAVE AROUND YOUR TABLE OR IN YOUR HOUSE AND THE RIGHT TO DECIDE WHO YOU WHO HAVE IN YOUR BED!!!
As a little girl i wanted nothing to do with dolls or anything girlie, i wanted star wars, robot cars and play sports. most of my friends were boys and i liked to wear jeans t shirt and sneakers. my mom didnt make a big issue of it but i still had to wear dresses on special occassions. i am now 36 and i have my tomboy moments but absolutely adore heels, make up dresses lol! i dont know what i would do as a parent of this kid.
At the same time, recognize in the black community it's more accepted for girls to be Tomboys but not for boys to be feminine/androgynous like B.Scott.
Why become something they're not? From what I've read, they don't identify as women; they identify as either men or as androgynous/third-gender/gender-queer/two-spirited.
Its a whole different story about that being "the Code" when the faculty isn't even sticking to it. Just like u had one of the Plastic group members say in the Vibe Magazine article last month: how can a Professor tell someone to pull their hair back according to Code before they enter class, with dudes wearing hats (AGAINST code) in that same classroom already sitting down and participating.
It may open them up to being harassed but as the recent suicides can attest to, people are making the transition to not allowing harassment. The State of MA has decried that all schools must have a procedure that combats bullying and disciplines students for bullying on and offline. There are 2 bills in Congress that are working to help eradicate it from our schools. As a 5 year old growing up during this time, sounds like its getting safer for them to embrace who they are at younger ages.
YES I WOULD! I will support my child/children in the positive and neutral life decisions they make since I believe it's my job to both try hard to understand why they're making these decisions as well as helping them guide their decision making so that ultimately what they choose doesn't hurt them or hurts them the least: physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, psychologically.
KEVIN I SAW IN A INTERVIEW THAT KANDI SAID THAT HER AND TINY ARE STILL IN CONTACT BUT SHE HAVENT SPOKE TO THE SISTERS...SO IDK THAT GROUP GETTING BACK TOGETHER IS GOING TO HAPPEN...
your job will have a dress code and they will fire you if you don't follow it..why is it so different with school..you can dress however you like after school..if you don't like it, find another school..i agree with everything yall said
damn makeal has a good ass memory.... he always calling kev out on sum pass shit from many videos ago lololololol gotta love him i swear!!!!! yall are great together.....lol @makeal how much do u weigh on screen hahahahaha...im done hun lmfaoooo yall is a fucking trip...im crying forreal......kanyes video was #yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwn.....nene was fine without all the work..now kim cud use a nose job..them morehouse students need to stop..find sumthing else to be upset about, it is what it is.
No one is asking the girl to change religions. I think she could put down things she wants in a roommate without stating religion. Using religion is still a way of discriminating against a certain race of people. A landlord cannot discriminate against a person based on religion so the practice shouldn't be changed for a roommate. I also don't think the prison guard should have gotten charged with anything. I agree to losing her job but getting a felony charge? Come on son! Did she rape the guy?
controversy when Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie dressed their daughter Shiloh in boys clothes?
When my son is old enough to understand and make decisions for himself, that is when I will support him...before you judge Makael and Kevins opinions....take their advice...be honest and real with yourself....what if it was your son?
I would never encourage my son to wear girls clothes....he has no idea what is right for him or not, thats why he has parents.....if your son asks if he could jump off a bridge/have a smoke or drink alcohol becos it looks fun....would you? why would anyone want to encourage their son to wear girls clothes knowing that there are so many other pressures in life they want to throw 'identity crisis' into the mix?
is everyone reacting so strongly becos he's male? was there this kind of.....
In 1968 the "fair Housing Act" was passed which states In the Sale and Rental of Housing: No one may Refuse to rent or sell housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status or handicap: so she was wrong to post that she wanted a christian roommate weather she owns the property or she is subleasing it.
No the son should not be wearing a tutu but if the boy is showing signs of wanting a different life style even if he doesnt understand, she should understand and talk to him but DO NOT let him wear girls clothes at such a young age nor shun him for his behavior.
when I was in college we had to fill out a questionnaire that asked about smoking drinking and other preferences and when the housing office assigned roommates they took that into consideration. I do not see anything wrong with it.
We're are ALL not w/ out fault! We make mistakes, but Clearly, some people should not be allowed to have Children...i mean Damn, the baby is Only five, and Gay or S traight is the Least of this poor child's sad UP-bringing, and Problems!!...Love you guys! Speak up!
You have ALL types of homosexuals indeed, but the vast majority of them support the elimination of conscious gender identification, especially among children. The both of you being in the conscious circle of homosexualism should have definitely expected that kind of response from those fellow commenters. I had to VERBALLY beat down a fellow pro-pedophile homosexualist on another video not too long ago, and I shall continue to do so until homosexualists leave innocent children alone. --FJ
I def agree with ya'll about the "Princess Boy," I'm young but the way my mom raised me, I feel as if I came from the old skool. I did NOT dictate what I did or wore as a child. Yes, freedom to express oneself is a positive implant into a child's mind, but how far do you take it? Because that allowance of "freedom" can turn into disrespect, disobedience, and disregard when that CHILD becomes a teen and still under parents guardianship. And that can create some serious chaos!
@hellokittycutie2003 I find nothing wrong with the Michigan woman searching for a specific type of roommate. If that's discrimination, then everything and everybody discriminates about everything. What about people who search for roommates who don't smoke, or don't drink, or don't party, don't have to many guests, etc... In order to not create tension and conflict, I WANT a compatible roommate. That has nothing to do with my view on people, religion, and the world as a whole.
I don't agree with the "do as i say, not as I do", because your child is going to question what you do not what you say...it is like a mother smoking and telling the kid "do not smoke, it isn't good for you." Good video!
I dislike when pple compare the civil rights movement to gay rights , because to me being an african american back then and even now is something you cant hide, you cant take a day off and be like oh today im going to be white i want to escape racism it just didnt happen.Civil rights pple went through so much more and im not saying gay ppl havent im just saying the two are greatly different so its silly to compare because one cant hide that they are african american just an opinion
I just want to say Morehouse is a historically black MALE college, so if they want to dress as females & identify themselves as WOMEN then go to a co-ed school!!!!!!!!!!! I have no problem with men dressed as women (just make sure you look good), but don't try to change the rules of this school.
Poor Jodeci, how did it go so wrong. I play Come and talk me the original followed by the remix every morning to get me started. They could have been RnB legends getting BET tributes but no they had to get drunk, high and abusive.
I agree, following dress code is just life. You do you on the weekends. Some jobs will send U home to change, in junior high you get sent to detention. And people on reality shows have been fired for embarrassing their companies and they were on personal time.
I think the only reason they were upset at you guys was b/c you put kanye west runaway in the title. I personally could care less b/c I don't really care about music vids as much as live performances lol. You guys started dressing nicer! I like the change!
@DeLanoCorleone You are very ignorant! I am a very masculine, muscular black 30yo man and being gay is no damn trend bruh....OPEN your eyes and think about the thousands of blacks that are gay and are struggling for acceptance & understanding! Gay blacks have been here since the beginning of time from Africa to America! So stop the fucking ignorance......What if white ppl say they cant wait for this hip hop black, civil right trend to be over.....how would u feel?
@Sylviasworld08 I'm being honest..They try to make it seem like its all okay for women/men to be gay.. I don't hate gays I keep my distance from them and I realize that I love all people and respect all people. But I must stay a way from those people. I treat all people right. I have gay friends and relatives but I tell them I love them but I hate what they do. Its your soul not mine as long they don't expose my son to that activity we straight. there are some that act gay because its popular.
This video is awesome!! I love y'all debate about the boy dressin like a girl yeah not all gay people can relate to wantin to dress like a girl!!! And Phaedra baby shower was a damn hotmess she act like every event gotta be like super southern real boughetto like Kandi said. I love when Kim walked in lookin like "Oh i must've missed the hat memo" "Sit in a chair open your presents eat some cake and call it a day" lol she was so right. And yeah Phaedra dwight? Needs to stop where is her husband?
I think the if a child wants to dress the opposite of their gender, the parents should tell them they can dress how ever they want when they move out their house. And I think the kid is a little confused. The prison guard is a nasty lady and she should be fined for $2,000.The lady who only want christian people is wrong but nothing to complain about.I think the Morehouse students should follow the dress code if the school order to obey.
Hey Guys...we sit and watch your 35-38-45 minute videos...you can watch little ol' Kanye's 34 minute Runaway...I really would like to know what you guys think about it!
I understand where you're coming from, but, above all, a parent should support their child with whatever they want to do. Although it may not be proper or "politically correct," I believe that a child knows what they want. Call me liberal in this regard, but a parent should nurture, not be this authoritative being. Although, to agree with you guys, you have to teach your child what's appropriate and what isn't. I'm on the fence: support the child, but be a parent...
@comeawaywithme "I believe that a child knows what they want..." Yeah children may know what they want, but they certainly do not know what is best for them. If parents went along with whatever kids wanted, they would rot their teeth with candy, never go to bed at a decent hour, and probably avoid homework and other responsibilities. This child is just too young to make any important life decisions, and is probably trying to test his limits. One day, when the child is older and decides who he is
@comeawaywithme once and for all, gay, straight, transgendered, whatever, then I think it is the family's job to support. You are born a certain way and your family should support you, however, no young child should be able to call the shots in a household. That's just my opinion, and how I was raised.
I think that there isn't a major difference between having preferential standards for roommates and significant others. However, I think the focus should be on the reasonings behind these presumptions. For instance, it is based on faith or fear of other religions? Similarly, is it based on racism or familiarity? Either way, such generalizations are dangerous to make, as it applies to the un- and preferred group because assumptions are being made based on one aspect of a person's identity.
I think the reason she probably wants a christian roomate is due to her schedule she needs someone who has the same or a similar lifestyle to her own. That way you don't have to get adjusted that much to a new living situation. And another thing when I went to college they asked me all kinds of questions to give me a roomate that would better suit me. So should we be filing civil rights claims against universities that use this practice?
because some gays stood up and fought what they believe in and now some places you its ok to have a gay employee yes there were rules but someone fought for it now look at you guys y'all have ur own show because ppl are still for gays to be more accepted so because your not in that area of trans gender i don't u should have said rules are rules
hey guys about the morehouse thing i think u guys should have understood that a lil more betta there were times when gay weren't allow in the work force but it was.......
damn Makael u think they went "up in arms" about you not having the desire to date outside youre race..IMAGINE what woulda happend if you had said that you didnt wanna date inside youre race...nooow that woulda been drama riiite
Firstly I would like to say that some of the comments were maybe misunderstood. Instead of using the word identify they should have used sympathetic, because if there is something psychological there that's different from him just wanting to wear girls clothing. Secondly, I love your show and watch it religiously, and yall want us to comment, but when we do and say something yall don't necessarily agree with yall get upset. You voice your opinions let us voice ours. Just something to think about
The guys are Moorehouse who dress like "women" are not trying to be women. They are clearly trying to attrack men, who like men, who dress like women! When two men are fucking, nobody is wearing clothes!
I died at the ending! LOL ahaha

They are crippling him.

little girls always dress in little boys' clothing, and that hasn't seemed to damage all those little girls for the last 50 years...

im not christian but i understand where she is coming from.

Mwink1975 1 year ago
I don't think either of you "should be able to identify" because being gay is different from being gender variant. I myself am a transgender woman spent many years in the gay community and even doing DRAG shows when I was in my 20's but I always knew this was not me. I started transition at 28, but I'll tell you this I wished I had had more acceptance from my mother and family when I was a child as all the signs where there. ... will continue in the next post
LindsayStone 1 year ago
@LindsayStone ...continued... but because I didn't have that acceptance it ate at me and I went down a long path of drugs, and did a lot of bad things. At 5 years old I actually hung myself from a tree with the water hose that I swung from in my grandmothers yard, because I knew how I felt was seen as wrong. This was not my last attempt either. So speaking from a much closer perspective I thing some freedoms should be given.
LindsayStone 1 year ago
You guys reinforcing gender stereotypes is really helping. But then from other vids It's obvious that the one with the beanie is transphobic. And you don't have to wear womens clothing to identify with people who are discriminated against. I'm sure you wouldn't think twice about letting a girl wear boys clothes.
tifo316 1 year ago
If a boy only wants girl things and does not feel or does not want to do anything other "normal" boys want and is unhappy about that then its okay to let him express his emotions through clothing and toys etc .etc.

dewain 1 year ago
But it is just clothes!!!! You might as well say to someone don't eat fried chicken because that is black people food... That statement is so ignorant!!! Im' sure the parent know that but if it makes the kid happy let him be happy and as he gets older and sees that it is not socially acceptable for him to wear whatever the hell he wants to wear and has to be restricted and put in a category etc.... then he can decide for himself what is more suitible.
missmarisela2006 1 year ago
These guys were spot on concerning the "princess boy." The parents are opening up their kid to all kinds of ridicule which will harm him emotionally much more than not allowing him to do everything he wants. He should be thoroughly confused by the age of 18, if he makes it that far and doesn't jump off a bridge first.
lizard944 1 year ago
If I had a boy/girl who says "Can I wear this?" referring to an article of clothing of the opposite sex, I'd say "Well, Lets try this(referring to an article clothing of their sex), "and then come back to this." If they still want it, then I'll get it. I want my child to express themselves. I don't want to push them to choose something they dont want, if its something like clothing. I feel like its more damaging to a child, if a parent suppresses who they potentially are, than being made fun of.
hattersuffa 1 year ago
@hattersuffa If girls can wear pants, than boys should be allowed to wear skirts. There was a point in time where it was acceptable. Why dont we just go back to that? If a straight guy likes wearing skirts, but can't seem to find a girl who finds him attractive in that, then he can change for those girls. However, it's probably best to find a girl who would find him attractive in what he wears and doesn't care. Btw, hairy legs and dresses don't go. Please shave them legs, if that's the case.
hattersuffa 1 year ago
@hattersuffa You are wrong on so many levels. When I was five I wanted to burn everything with matches. Should my parents have encouraged me to do so, and not "upset" my delicate emotional balance?
lizard944 1 year ago 2

And i think you should be more open minded about this. what if your parents sat you down and said you cant be gay as long as youre living in my house...
lilmisssme 1 year ago
it is about "acceptance" letting a person be happy HOWEVER they want to dress, wear their hair, and express their comfort and identity.

FoxboyTheWereFox 1 year ago
@FoxboyTheWereFox Yes clothes do tell you about the person. You know a cop when you see one.Or a doctor or a priest in robes. You give them respect & authority. You can't go to a job interview dressed like a bum. What you wear is what tells us about you.The mother put this issue out there so people have the right to comment.
bluebelle181 1 year ago
@bluebelle181 anyone can by a cop outfit and go to your door and rob you, any quack can say he has a licence and a doctors rodbe and steal you kidney. A man who dresses nicely can be a con artist. A college proffesor at my friends school dresses in all black has her intire face pearced has tattoos everywhere and has a mohalk and she has a phd in phycology? It is ignorante to judge on peoples clothing. You give respect to everyone not just people who dress nice, that is prejudce. if you don't.
FoxboyTheWereFox 1 year ago
@FoxboyTheWereFox You're right. But people as a whole are prejudgmental. You see a person on the outside before you get to know who they are about. It's up to the individual to get to know the person. And at the same time, how you dress reflects you.In the case of the little boy, he's too young to choose what he wants to wear. His mother allows it. Keeping a child happy does not mean you should let him do whatever he wants. You have to teach discipline to prepare the kid for the real world.
bluebelle181 1 year ago
He said he want's to be a princess, he didn't say he wants to be a girl. He want to dress with what he likes. I would if thats how they feel. And another thing, you forgot what that little boy said, he said "the people that make fun of me are not my friends". So its ok if its halloween? You two are rude. He never said he was gay, you guys are very ignorante. Yes we are all differnt but you should consider that little boys feelings instead if your own.

Latosingleta 1 year ago
This comment is in reference to the men who dress like woman and are offended when they are told they cannot dress they way they want in certain situations. First off clothes do not define a person, they are a way some people express themselves, but to make it a big issues just to be defiant is unneccessary.

It's not that I'm assumed or regard getting them, I know that there is a give and take to every situation...compromise is key.

Why become something they're not? From what I've read, they don't identify as women; they identify as either men or as androgynous/third-gender/gender-queer/two-spirited.
Man-----androgynous/third-gender/etc-----Woman
Masculine-----androgynous/third-gender/etc-----Feminine
The Gender Binary of Western/European Civilization and those Influenced By It

Its a whole different story about that being "the Code" when the faculty isn't even sticking to it. Just like u had one of the Plastic group members say in the Vibe Magazine article last month: how can a Professor tell someone to pull their hair back according to Code before they enter class, with dudes wearing hats (AGAINST code) in that same classroom already sitting down and participating.
The rule is transphobic and effemophobic.

I def agree with ya'll about the "Princess Boy," I'm young but the way my mom raised me, I feel as if I came from the old skool. I did NOT dictate what I did or wore as a child. Yes, freedom to express oneself is a positive implant into a child's mind, but how far do you take it? Because that allowance of "freedom" can turn into disrespect, disobedience, and disregard when that CHILD becomes a teen and still under parents guardianship. And that can create some serious chaos!
hellokittycutie2003 1 year ago
