@KonClueZhen Not the inventor but the owner of the company, he bought the company after the segway was invented and being sold to the public. Jim Heselden bought the company from the inventer Dean Kamen . Heselden was on a path next to a cliff that was off limits to foot traffic, so the device was probably not really at fault. Do you blame an aircraft crach if the pilot owns the company but had little or no flight experience?

I would drive one if they added a gas or propane powered generator to the design so if it runs out of power you can switch over to the generator for longer trips.

people in rural areas may drive up to 50 miles one way to get to work and this only has a range of 20km or 12.4 miles so around here it would be impractical without a alternate source of power.

Has anyone heard the actual price of these machines? I keep hearing 1/3rd the price of a standard automobile. A standard car could be between 10,000 and 25,000 dollars. A few years ago Oldsmobile had a gas burning 3 wheel car that looked better than this thing and the price I heard at that time was $1,500.00 I guess it didn't catch on.
