  • Keep it up. Learn the oboe, flute & clarinet or maybe the bassoon. You'll always have work.

  • Just take your time it will happen

  • Could you please share the arrengment?? it will be great!

  • @mingus72 If you Google "Don't Get Around Much Anymore saxophone quartet" it's the Kendor Music version arranged by Les Sabina.

  • wow.. nice.. you should try classical... its much more demanding and a lot more fun for me.. at least

  • So much respect for the bari sax :D

  • @fetymann They dont need help they good the way they are

  • you should show live instead of still photo to allow the audience to enjoy the arraingement better, this is youtube not yearbook

  • @scottbeedie I had wanted to record a video but it turned out to be more difficult than anticipated. As I played all the parts myself I would've had to either record video as I recorded the tracks in front of a greenscreen, or try to sync my finger movements to the music while recording video afterwards. If I ever have access to four different saxophones again and more time I would love to give it a try.

  • @scottbeedie learn to spell, this isnt pre K

  • You guys should pair up with some other jazz brass like trumpets! You'd be unstoppable!

  • Oh well :)

  • Girls playing jazz ... how cool is that? Keep it up!

  • For all of the unpolishedness, you still sound better than most of the buskers in New Orleans.

  • nice girls :D

  • same person lol

  • my and 4 of my buds are playing this today ...just don't rush since its jazz its always behind the beat...i just noticed you were rushing/ pushing the beat a little but it was great other than that

  • Really nice! Enjoyed it and what impresses me especially is that you were a total beginner on the baritone and tenor! Used to play alto and baritone myself.

  • wait is that one chick?

  • Would be nice to have video too...but that does add another level of complexity. Nice job!

  • Pretty darn nice.Classy choice of a tune 'n nice execution.Loved the ending harmony.A+

  • hermosas mujeres y talentosas, sigan adelante espero escuhcar y ver musica latina

en su repertorio , toque saxo un tiempo y lo deje pero aun sigo anamorado de su forma, de su sonido, es magico.

    congratulations girls.

  • how long have you been playing?

  • @DiminishHim Alto, 4 years, soprano, 2, tenor and bari...a week before I recorded this.

  • @flamingosnflipflops nice :) what grade are you in now?

  • @DiminishHim University!

  • @flamingosnflipflops that's whats up lol are you majoring in music?

  • @flamingosnflipflops I don't believe you about the tener and bari.

  • @NDguy191 If you can play one sax you can play them all :P

  • @flamingosnflipflops I well the way you said it it sort of implied they started playing sax just 2 weeks ago, not just a different one.

  • @flamingosnflipflops

    Very True!

  • @flamingosnflipflops i've always said that lol but everyone disagrees with me, they say each one is a whole different animal, though I have not played a soprano yet ):

  • @flamingosnflipflops yah, I play Bari.

  • @flamingosnflipflops This isn't completely true. Theoretically you can play them all, but the embouchure and technique is different on each one and it does take some practice. I, for one, can play alto and tenor no problem, but struggle with baritone because it's a different technique.

  • @ap1027

Agreed! Technically, yes you can play all the saxes, but technique is so different. I can play bari but struggle with alto - the bari has a looser embouchre, I find. I love my bari!

  • @DarrenFreemanVAA @ap1027 Oh for sure, I definitely struggled with tenor and bari being so used to alto and soprano. But in a short period of time it isn't hard to pick up another saxophone and get by playing it, compared with picking up a trumpet or a trombone xD

  • @flamingosnflipflops You can; however, you might not be able to play all of them well. :P

  • Us saxamaphones are the greatest!

  • Nice nice song! Pretty girls, too.

The low one cut the cheese hahaha

  • Tune before you play.

  • El metrónomo, y el afinador.

  • I hope you're listening to bass players in particular to harness some swinggggggggggggggggggg

  • They are all the same person!!!!!

  • OMG...CLONING!!! xD

  • Are all these girls clones?

  • Sounds pretty damn good :) Is this a written woodind quartet or just some improvisation?

  • genial :)

  • Is this a video or picture... I can't tell?

  • @pspsp5 Just a picture. I had wanted to make a video but ran out of time.

  • Great Job. Hope you had fun with project. Definitely try the the metronome trick, when doing mulitrack work. Smiles here.

  • a fine effort... not the easiest arrangement of Don't Get Around Much Anymore, either.

    Here's something to shoot for:

    youtube DOT com/watch?v=aaUF3gotm6s

  • OMG a female bari player! is tht even possible.

  • Comment removed

  • Next time, play each part with a metronome in your earphones. Then it will piece all together better.

  • for a split second the soprano sax sounded like an oboe. great job!

  • I've had some ideas to make a few videos like this one :) You did a wonderful job.

  • I have actually. I just didn't know what I could put instead of that.

  • @NaKasieWBiedronce they're pretty good

  • @1966chryslerny They're not..

  • My first thought was why weren't the people moving. My second thought was why did one of the saxes look like a clarinet. My third thought was why do the people look exactly look alike. It took me that long to realize that. But the saxophone line at my school was mostly girls my whole time here. From my eight grade year to my eleventh grade year there were only two guy saxes and one was me and anywhere from 6-8 girl saxes. This year, my senior year, there are 3 guy saxes and 5 girl saxes though.

  • @Stedfastwolf Have you ever heard the term soprano saxophone?

  • Awesome saxophone quartet!!! You ladies are great!

  • @SuperMini83 Thanks! It's just me playing all of the parts (:

  • @flamingosnflipflops I was looking a the people on the photo and sayig to myself that they just seemed to be the same person xDD

  • Not too bad. :D We've got this song for jazz band.

  • WOOOOOOO!!!! :D

  • YES! GIRL SAX PLAYER!

  • this is soooooo cool, I love it Rachel :)

  • it's a little bit rough... a couple of em were out of tune just a touch, and you lost time a little bit. but it can be fixed: if i were you, id get a digital metronome, which doubles as a tuner and can help you keep rhythm. speaking positively, the bari sounded especially great.

  • this is awesome :)
