I would think that spraying citrus on the pumpkin would help to preserve it somewhat, just as 7-UP or Mt. Dew prevent an apple from turning brown! WOW I certainly am a wealth of useless facts! Lol :)
@angeletz1 God loves you, and Jesus Christ is the only way to Him. Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the 3rd day so that whoever believes in Him will be saved from Hell and have eternal life in Heaven. Call upon the Lord Jesus Christ in faith and believe on Him for eternal life.
I am absolutely speechless, just amazing work! My favorites were the tribesman and the pumpkin with the brain on top. You sir are a master, and a true treasure to the Halloween community! Thank you so much for putting this video up!
Makes you want to take up carving...I mean sculpting..but don't think ray hasn't put in many many hours and days to hone his craft..probably started with a bar of soap in the 4th grade ; )
Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. You have such a gift..I will pass this one to our many children and grand children and who know, maybe it will inspire them! Do you have your sand carvings online somewhere as well?
Would you ever consider giving lessons? Would love to have you come to our town to do a demonstration and workshop for 2011! Amazing and incredible artistry!
They can last up to two weeks depending on the pumpkin and what I do to preserve it. I use straight bleach on the inside and clear spray enamel on the outside.
Villafane is incredible. I tried my first pumpkin sculpt last week. It was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. Turned out decent for a first attempt but you and Villafane are just incredibly good. I gotta keep practicing!
Thanks glad you appreciate my work, and yes pratice is really what it takes to get good at this, I've been at it for about 17 years and thats about 30 to 50 pumpkins a year.
