wow the city looks beautiful and im Canadian too. I would love to visit Turkey some day, but i just want to know, how are the locals there?? And also although it has a western and an islamic touch, which one do you think dominates the public??
So sorry for not responding sooner!! The locals are great. If you're worried about security or safety or approachability, then you'll be fine. To put it in perspective, Turkey, especially Istanbul is one of the most touristed cities in the world. It caters to the Western tourist.
In my opinion, overall, Turkey has more of a Western touch, especially in the more populated cities. The Islamic fundamentals and roots still exist, but they certainly aren't as strict as other countries.
Hey man, couple questions. What kind of memory card where you using to store all those videos. Did you upload them onto a website while travelling around? Im going for 4months and wondering if One 8gb card will be enough memory or if i should get another!
@kastro696989 I used a 4GB mem card, but definitely use as a big a card as you can get. Use the 8gb if you can You want to film at higher resolutions and that definitely takes more space.
I would transfer anything I filmed to a laptop on a daily basis so I could keep space open on my card. I would upload them to sites when I was finished editing the videos (adding music, narration, scene transitions, etc.).
Editing takes a LONG time. A 10 min segment would take 8 hours to edit.. but then again I'm an amateur. I would upload the videos when I had a decent connection. Some places I travelled had poor connections so I couldn't always upload them when I wanted.
Istanbul was never ruled by arabs.
