i have over 40 dave albums, and i cannot find this song anywhere. everytime i listen to it i have to come on here. only one i have it on is Jimi Thing at Luther College. anyone got a cd i can look into to find it?
i don't know how this song only has 3000 views... sure its not one of his main stream songs but it is on the live at luther cd .. i figure more people would listen to it based on its awesomeness haha
@filmtress indeed, went a month without visiting this. My all time favorite song from Dave, it just hits me that way. something short and simple makes me think just as deep if not deeper than his other masterpieces. My dream is to one day hear this live by him. "What will become of me when im gone" is going to be tattooed on my leg along with a silouhette of dave and firedancer. Keep the Faith DMB Fans. =] R.i.peace LeRoi.
yeah i always listened to jimi thing and never knew that the outro was an actual song, i thought it was just a one time thing for that concert. i absolutely love this song, and i think it sounds better on the Luther college CD.
It was the first time played with these chords. 9.24.95. Luther was 2.6.96. So they did have some time to clear it up. Luther does sound a bit better.
When I listen to this song, it's generally at night when I'm trying to go to sleep. I get lost thinking about past memories, especially those with my dad and brothers as a kid. I always end up crying longing to redo my childhood and all my regrets.
Excellent comment. When I hear this song I reflect on my life and the legacy I am leaving behind...realizing that all of my shared moments with loved ones are likes grains of sand falling through the hourglass. Not so soon from now I will be in death's grip with a life left of memories to reflect on. Then....What will become of me when I'm all poured out?
i believe this is my favorite song from dmb and its not on an album...thnx for the upload...the lyrics are great and the melody even better i can fall asleep to this song

@ceedawg2
The bonus disc that comes with Some Devil contains a D+T track of Jimi thing that segues into "what will become of me".
The song is also sometimes referred to as "all poured out".
Hope this helps ya.

Lyrics sound similar to Jimi Thing, but I like this song a little more. Even though I love any and every song by them.

Because I would be a different person, a lot further along. Stubborness doesn't get you too far. I, like many, had to learn the hard way.

Now find another song like that.

this is my favorite song when I'm "kissing whiskey"
the guitar is so mellow and the sorrow is such that it soothes your soul
and when he hits that high pitch, you can feel it in your chest
