I love their stuff old, new, and whatever comes next will be awesome. I am just back from Athens where I saw my first gig abroad, it was so awesome. I've only been a fan a little under 2 yrs having heard my first 30stm song on a friend's ipod in a train delay back in Aug 09 by Dec 09 I had all 3 albums and loved them, I could see the bands progression musically especially when TIW came out I love their music, they are nice blokes too. Roll on Belfast/Paris gigs. Emo what is it? Judith.

So I've noticed that on 2/3 lyrics sites I've looked at the lyrics are "balance libertine" instead of "pallid slivered sky" and the one that does say pallid, says "silver" instead of "slivered". I'm assuming the second part is a spelling error, but does anyone know what the actual lyrics are?

@pspvampire Wtf? Ok, yes 30STM were harder back then but they still do Rock, Hard Rock. ABL was as hard as the first album, and quite a bit better too, TIW wasn't as good as it should have been, I expected more from 30STM. Hopefully they go back to Harder Darker Rock like ABL for the 4th album.

Without this one song, I probably would never been a fan of 30 Seconds to Mars. First heard it at a music store thinking it was the Deftones. I don't like thier new album that much because it seems to commercial and they do not really sound as creative. And the kids sing good on the album, but it's really annoying for a 30 seconds to Mars album.

@MetalMan2k I thoink This Is War iss innovative and it stands out above most of the other alternative stuff out there. A Beautiful Lie is the most generic of their albums, if you can call it that. And it's definitely "generic" at its best. To me, the album 30STM is experimental and the band has honed it's sound over the years.

@1professorMcG No way. ABL is not only their best album BY FAR but the best rock album of the decade. That album created 30STM and almost every song on it is worthy of being a single, it's like a compilation album. TIW is ok, other than Kings & Queens there isn't much to offer, but it edges their debut album. In other words 30STM IMPROVED greatly then lost it with the latest album of which Jared himself said was unfinished. Let's hope they finish the 4th one properly and it's more like ABL!

At 3rd I'd say Blink-182's self-titled album, Fall Out Boy's From Under The Cork Tree in 4th with Muse's Black Holes & Revelations in 5th. Yea, I like all types of Rock. 30 Seconds To Mars's debut album (this one) is pretty epic too.

@pspvampire Umm...no. Gerrard is the captain of Liverpool Football Club, he wears the number 8 shirt...I hate Gerrard Gay, the singer of that below average band. And yes, ABL was 30STM greatest album by far, it was the darkest and possibly the hardest/heaviest too (From Yesterday, Attack, Battle of One). 30STM are wasting too much time with TIW atm making videos for crappy songs like Hurricane (for their standards) when songs such as this, The Fantasy etc never got a video and were much better.

@pspvampire Meh, ABL was as heavy as the debut album imo and a lot darker too. I have no idea why they went softer for TIW. Hopefully for the 4th album they go back to their roots. TIW has like 3 good songs, none of which are that heavy.

I think they should of made more videos for the ABL album... My top 5 30STM songs include The Kill, A Beautiful Lie, Kings & Queens, From Yesterday and Edge of the Earth, what does that tell you? 3 from ABL, that's how great it was.
