I enjoy them for many reasons, and this is my fav song and 'remaking it' in a 99' style of what they were doing worked, I was a fan of all the old, and into Clayman, found a few songs on reroute to be good, and maybe 2 songs from the album after, but since then, meh... alot of bands change over time (see: Fear Factory) but there latest upcoming release made up for their transgressions (inside joke lol) I'm still waiting for Anders to get back to the good stuff, its been 5yrs since i been proud

ASOP is really good if you give it a chance. It just takes some time to get used to it. It definitely has a softer feel, but if you look beyond that you can still hear that classic In Flames sound.

ASOP is A Sense of Purpose, the ninth In Flames studio album. Many people have been critical of the album for its negative lyrics as well as its softer and more accessible sound, but others have praised it as an original and creative album.

Personally, I side with the latter and believe that every In Flames album is great. My favorites are Whoracle and Reroute to Remain, but I like them all.

In Lunar Strain their vocalist was Mikael Stanne, now lead singer of Dark Tranquility. But then in there follow up EP Subterranean their vocalist was Henke Forss, now the vocalist of Dawn and Retaliation. I'm pretty sure the only constant member has been Jesper, and get this, on Lunar Stain, he didn't even do guitar! In Flames was just a side project Jesper made up that exploded into amazing-ness once Anders left At the Gates and joined In Flames.
