  • Yeah! Pick that chicken' Great!

  • rubbish

  • @guitarboogieboogie What's rubbish?

  • @guitarboogieboogie Rubbish...!!!??? Is that a modern term for -- spectacular?

  • @guitarboogieboogie You are a idiot and showing the world how stupid you are. You have no idea what you are listening to. You are clue less. All idiots will show you they are idiots, just listen to the first word out of their mouth. Just as you did.

  • No it doesnt.Every time i think Chets the best picker on the planet, Jerry makes him get on the horse again.llam.

  • @redwashre At the time this was recorded, I'm not sure that Chet was the "best guitar picker on the planet", but he was the most recorded solo guitar picker in country music! Best on the planet takes in a lot of pickers, so who are you comparing him with to grant him that title? Just curious??

  • I know it's Jerry, I got the album!

  • no it doesn't get any hotter than this. for sure

  • Absolutely Fantastic. Like cream and sugar!

  • all u kids shut up. if you're under 60 yrs. old u can't play anyway.like slash said "u had crap for influences".if ya don't comment then u won't look like an A.grow up, u better do it quick. u got a lot of catching up to do.none of y'all leavin' comments are qualified to carry these guys guitar cases.they're passed on and they can still play better than any of you 80's fingerflappers.

  • @matt1284508

That's crazy talk. You have no idea who influenced us under 60s. I gew up listening to my parents' records and would choose stuff from before I was born over 99.999% of contemporary music.

If you're going to make such sweeping generalisations, do it with some charm and class. In other words, act your age!

  • mystery train is a classic first cut in 1953 by little juniors blue flames @ sun studios in memphis then recorded by elvis. many many people have played this tune , i first heard this song played by the jerry garcia band. jerry and chet are just bubbin on this version. wicked !!!

  • sounds like a rip off of mule skinner blues... ive noticed too now like that one part in jerrys breakdown... does anyone else hear it?

  • now that you said that ill never hear this song the same way again.....haha........ : /

  • what key was this song in?

  • In the key of E I think...

  • yes

  • Love these cats...

  • Great Music

  • This song is rad

  • Can someone tell me what instrument makes that signature 70's "wocka wocka" sound? Is it some kind of mouth harp?

  • It's called a wa-wa pedal

  • Not talking about a wah pedal. The instrument I was talking about is called a Jews Harp. Found it.

  • It's not in the song though.

  • it's just an electric guitar plugged into a phaser pedal. it's just a sound effect like distortion, echo, etc. You'll hear it all over records of the era, especially Waylon Jennings stuff, he loved it. Jerry used it on "Gator" and other swampy sounding songs that he played electric guitar on.

  • Train I ride! Sixteen coaches long!

He's a bad mutha... shut yo mouth!

  • Man, the 70's were weird.

  • LOL!!!

  • @daffydoug

That's Tutt Shift no matter how you look at it..... :) That is without doubt the great Jerry Reed!

  • I thaught they were gonna break out in the sanford and son theme song there at first!

  • LOL!!!

  • I recently did a remake of this video with better pictures. It took me a while after i started this thing to learn how to use movie maker..oh well, live and learn.

  • It was a better world when Chet and Jerry were in it.

  • picker's heaven.

  • Amen!!

  • Who needs video with tracks like that! If your feet aren't tappin'and your heads not bobbin'...you might need a doctor. The Atkins/Reed duets are some of the finest ever. I hope people keep digging them up and sharing them with us.

  • Thanks man! I got a few more up my sleeve. Stay tuned.

  • what's wrong withe fuckin video?

  • Its called a still, dipshit.
