nice sound. at least somebody understands that good tone only comes from tubed marshalls!
may i ask what settings your using on your octaver? i own one but i only have the digitech whammy on my pedalboard and i cant seem to find the right harmonized setting

Because I find it more comfortable like that. I don't feel the need to conform to an orthodox playing style just so my playing is exactly the same as everyone elses. Maybe Hendrix should have played a real left handed guitar because thats how everyone else did it back then?

Epiphone Les Paul
Line6 DuoVerb
Shure SM57
Focusrite Saffire LE
and my guitar recording sounds like crap. I've been struggling with this for a long time. :(

You have to mess about with mic positions to get it right. Try aiming your mic at the very edge of the speaker pointing outwards slightly.

thats not me, its the track playing in the background. I'm not really sure what it is to be honest, they are an experimental band so it could be anything really.

You serious? There's at least a wah in there, that's not hard to spot! Then some sort of special distortion effect, or a boost or something. I'm not really an effects expert. Good vid though, especially the shirt, hahaha.

the effect is a manual controlled old korg parametric eq... chad controlled the frequency sweeps live while they recorded to tape
