@whyisthereyou People have died from this ride. Mainly because of their weight. They got sling shotted out of their seats at the crest of the top of the drop. I believe they now have shoulder restraints making it much safer now. I remember going on it years ago and feeling like I was gonna be slib shotted out of my seat. I definitely made sure I held on for dear life everytime I did go on it.

Sadly, I was never able to go on this ride because my friends "said" they were afraid of getting wet. It looks like an awesome ride, but just looking at it, it seems a bit unstable.

probably be a good last or second to last ride after BigFoot Rapids because you'll get wet, even just by standing on the bridge (it's fun!)

Perilous plunge used to make the rider a lot more wet before they changed the boat/seats. When it was just a lap belt, the jets used to go A LOT higher when you landed, you could get soaked just by standing on the bridge over it. When they made it safer, they made it less wet. Bummer, huh?

The Perilous Plunge looks like tidal wave at thorpe park but tidal wave has a bigger splash and probably gets you wetter and even on cold really rainy days it still gets you wet!!!

But it doesnt have a steepper drop...i think

I think they reduced the pressure in the fountains under the ride because someone complained about getting sprayed in the eyes. That must have been ages ago though.

Yes it does. The water fountains are programmed. On cold days, the ride does not get you wet. On really hot days, they are used.

It's only one, it actually used to be a Berry Farm owned by the Knott family, however it's now owned by Cedar Fair (owners of Cedar Pointe, Great America, Kings Island) ..so there's a LOT of parks across America just like it.
